You're hearts in it, you plan to be there....but how do you get from home to Cabo San Lucas Mexico and back? We'll tell you the step by step details on this page!
Ask for the weekend of April 18, 2009 off from work, and decide if you would like to take advantage of being in BEAUTIFUL Cabo San Lucas Mexico and take a few extra days off for vacation!
For alot of the area school districts, the week leading up to April 18th is school vacation for the kids.
Some people will make a full vacation out of the trip, and extend their stay for either the week before or the week after the wedding. We're going to try to work out an extended hotel rate for those surrounding days.
The (extended) weekend will start Thursday Night with a combined bachelor/bachelorette party in downton Cabo. Friday Night will be our "Welcome Dinner" and Saturday is the big day! During the day time we'll have optional group activities such as sailing, fishing, snorkeling or golfing.
Most people will fly home Sunday late afternoon, to be back to work for Monday.
As details become more solid, we will continue to update this website.
As soon as you're decided to take the trip with us to Cabo, please send in your RSVP card. We need definite numbers as early as possible. We are so excited that you plan to join us!
Also tell us any other details we should know for the trip; if you're planning to drive instead of fly, if you're going to make it just for the ceremony or if you're looking for a roommate to share costs with.
Begin to search for flights that arrive and depart to best fit your schedule.
The closest airport to Cabo San Lucas is "SJD"- San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. Mexicana, Alaska, Delta and American all fly to SJD and offer competitive rates.
Please note there are limited numbers of flights in and out of Cabo San Lucas and as you imagine, Sunday afternoon is fairly common to leave.
There are dozens of hotels in Cabo San Lucas, but we are confident that you will fall in love with the The Sheraton Hacienda del Mar.
Go to the "Accommodations" section for more details about rooms and rates.
Aboslutely essential piece of documentation, now required for everyone who travels to Mexico. We have an entire section of this website dedicated to passport information.
It can prove to be a lengthy process, so start early to avoid any additional fees.
To rent a car or not to rent a car? That is the question. A taxi ride from The Sheraton to downtown Cabo San Lucas is just $12 and seats 4. During the day, there's also water taxi's from all the local resorts into town. If you do plan to rent your own car; be sure to do so by booking online ahead of time. Rates are more than double if you book it when you arrive to town. But we really feel that you don't need to rent a car while you're there- it will be fun to split cabs and get to know other guests from the party :)
