OMG! only 3 more days!!! I can't believe it is here already. Well, i suppose it should be no surprise....time always seems to fly in my life, except if I'm waiting in traffic or a DMV line!
Things are a little hectic right now taking care of last minute details. emails have been flying between me and all of my vendors. thank goodness for the internet and email. that has made all of this planning soooooo much easier. we're really fortunate to have great vendors. everyone has been great, so far.
Chris' dad, Glenn, his wife, Debra, and Chris' sister, Glenda are arriving today. They are staying in San Francisco and making a vacation out of this, which is nice. Chris is bringing them out to our house tonight and we are all going out to dinner. I am looking forward to meeting them.

I just added a hotel listing to the accomodations page if anyone is still looking for a hotel in sacramento. Doubletree is running a special for 66/night,which is a pretty good price for a doubletree. let me know if there is anything i can do to help!

check, check and check! things are really coming together. i have found a new best friend...craigslist! i found my make up artist there and most recently our wedding coordinator. She will help me bring it all together on the day of the wedding. Chris and i met her on Saturday and she seems really nice. Poor Chris...she and i were just chatting away about wedding details and he was happily busying himself reading a newspaper. he is so wonderful!
one thing that was kinda dissapointing was that i also found a videographer on craigslist that was going to do the video for free because he was just starting up a business and needed to get some weddings under his belt for his portfolio. well that pretty much fell through...long story, but we aren't going to have him do it.
however, i am really happy so far with the two other vendors i found on craigslist...make up and wedding coordinator.
i got some fantastic news on friday. my dad has been really ill. CT/PET scans have shown that he had multiple tumors throughout his body, two of which were in his lungs. well he had another CT scan the other day and the lung tumors are GONE! poof! Praise God for that. It truly seems to be a miracle. Now we just need to see if the kidney tumors are still there or not. please pray for him.
We are also gearing up around here for Ashley's graduation. I can't believe i am coming to the end of raising a child. It is an incredible feeling. And she is a pretty amazing young woman. We have had a few episodes of turbulence on the trip, but all and all it has been a smooth ride. Here is a pic from her prom that she just went to a few weeks ago.

I thought it would be a nice idea, since we will have such a fabulous photographer onsite for the wedding, if some time during the reception we could provide you with the opportunity to have your own couple, family and or individual picture taken. I spoke with our photographer www.lydellphoto.com and he thinks that would absolutely work. The Lydell's do fabulous work....so if you have been putting off that family portrait, here's your opportunity. Hey...you'll already be dressed up, right? :) The pictures will then be up with our other wedding pictures on their website and you can order directly from there yourself and they will be shipped right to your home by the photographer.
Please email me if you would like to take advantage of this, so I can ask the photographers to plan for it. :)

Well we have a caterer now and they wont be pushing fake flowers on me lol. I have been really impressed with the catering coordinator, Brianna and am really happy i found her.
The last day or so i have been reflecting on the last 2 years with Chris. It is so hard for me to believe that we have been together for over 2 years now. He makes me smile every day. He is my strength and my light. He has been with me through some very difficult times and his love never waivers. i have never felt unconditional and unwaivering love and kindness which he showers me with daily. How can i be so lucky. i want to spend everyday showing him how much i love him.

Weird weather day today. rained this afternoon and now (5pm) not a cloud in the sky. I had a nice day today. I used some gift certificates that the kids had given me for christmas, birthdays, etc to go to the spa and get a facial and a pedicure. it was nice to be pampered. the kids love it too, cuz they never have to think about what to get mom for a gift, they just give me gift certificates to the spa and i LOVE it! It is hard for me to justify spending money for that on myself, so it really is an extra special treat.
i've been fine tuning the guest list today. we are really looking forward to bringing our families and friends together to get to know each other.
my dad is having surgery tomorrow, so that is weighing heavily on my mind. please, if anyone reads this, please pray for him. my dad is so important in my life. he has always been my rock, my center. i love him so much.

wow, so much is going on right now. we have actually done pretty well with all the arrangements so far. the only thing that is really nagging on me is that we don't have a caterer yet. we did have one, but then i had to fire them because they wanted to use tacky silk flowers on the buffet table and wanted to charge us 100 extra to do it. so....i've been talking to lotsa other caterers and trying to get something else set up. the things i am thrilled about so far are:

chris and i have now settled into a comfortable place where we both kinda know where the other one is coming from with all of the wedding plans. at first there were some adjustments. lol
