Several of my wonderful friends in Columbus, mostly from CGSA, held a shower for me last week.  It was awesome!!!  There was so much great food and desserts to enjoy, we played a really fun game, we got to talk and catch up, everyone helped me put together the wedding invitations, and there were so many awesome gifts as well!  It was a great night and I really enjoyed myself, and it seemed like everyone else did too, because even though we went later than planned (I am so grateful that everyone stayed so long to help with the invitations!!!) no one wanted to leave after we were done! 

 

So, as I mentioned... invitations are now finished and are on their way, which of course is a wonderful relief to us... we have the date, the time, the place, and now we just need people to show up :)

 

Also, we have gotten our wedding bands!  It was oh so exciting to finally get them, and we love them!  Can't wait to put them on in the ceremony.

 

We've been having some discussions on music... we do have some songs for the reception picked out, but we need more dance music, so if you have ideas for those, please do enter them on our music page :)  (The way I look at it, I'm thinking, what was the music that we enjoyed dancing to at all those school dances?  But please feel free to suggest anything!)

 

What else?  Well, I guess the main thing that is left to do is to ask people to help us out on the day before/day of the wedding... I wanted to get the invitations out first, so now that they will be arriving shortly (I wonder how long it will take for the international ones to arrive?) I may be chasing you down for help shortly as well, especially if you're in Columbus.  :)

 

On top of all this is my candidacy exams.  Proposal is due to the committee by oct 30; written exam is nov 6 - nov 13 and then I have to defend the proposal on nov 24.  And... my proposal is only a few pages long at this point :(  so I'll need a lot of help and prayers during this time.  Thanks all...
