Luke and Ruth

FAQ

A couple of questions we thought might come up. If you have more, let us know and we will add them to the page.

Do we need to RSVP?

Absolutely! We have a lot of family and friends to include, and we want to include everyone, but in order to have enough space and food, we need to have a solid number well ahead of time. We're sorry if you can't make it to be with us, but please let us know. Likewise, please let us know if you're going to make it, so we can make sure you have a place to sit!

Can I bring a date?

If you have anyone you'd like to bring with you to our wedding please contact us first so that we can figure out if there is enough space. I would hate for you to bring a guest, and for them to have to stand!

What if it rains?

As unlikely as rain is the 31st of July, we'll shuffle things about, throw up some tents, and do what we can within the grange hall if there's rain. But we're not expecting it.

Where should we fly into?

You can fly into Eugene (EUG) if you want. It is certainly the easiest, but it is also often more expensive then flying into Portland (PDX), which is two hours north of Eugene. From P-town you can rent a car, hop the Amtrack, or take a bus. If a lot of people are flying in at the same time, perhaps we can organize a carpool.

Alternatively, if you live on the West Coast, or are into a funky cross country journey. Take Amtrack the whole way!

Are you having a medieval/sca/Elizabethan/Renaissance wedding?

No, we aren't (though if you want to wear garb, you're more then welcome to!) Though the SCA and reenactment are a large part of Luke and Ruth's life, there are many other things that are important to us too. If we had a medieval wedding it would also feel too much like Andrew and Rose getting married, not Luke and Ruth.

What time is the wedding?

Ceremony will start around 6pm!

Any kids at this wedding?

There will certainly be children at our wedding, however please be aware that there are no high chairs or kid's seats available, nor is there any sort of child care provided.

What are your colors?

We decided that it seemed silly to limit our palette to only one or two colors, so we emphatically have chosen not to have 'colors'. If pressed, the bridesmaids and groomsmen are wearing green, blue, purple and pink. We also like red.

When will you have more information?

More information is coming steadily as we continue to nail things down. If you have a specific question please ask, especially if it's something you think we should put on the website.
