Amanda and Jason started their relationship when Jason virtually winked at Amanda over the dating website, Lavalife. Amanda wanted nothing to do with the dating website world and deleted everyone from her contacts, but somehow missed Jason's.
Amanda was looking for a place to live in Guelph, and looked at several apartments, specifically a cute basement apartment on the west side of town in this very lovely young couple’s home, Tryna and Kevin.
Although she didn't get the apartment, she felt closeness to Tryna after they're long conversation while viewing the cute place.
Amanda found a room in a mansion with a friend of the family, and continued to thrive with her job in Guelph. While on MSN, Jason contacted Amanda surprisingly, and they talked until the wee hours of the morning online. After putting Jason off for two weeks, she finally caved and met him for coffee at the Stone Road Mall, meeting at Chapters in the magazine isle, more specifically infront of the 'photography' magazines. As soon as they saw one another, their faces turned read, and Amanda believes this is when it was all over for her. She fell in love with his smile and his handsome looks, and the fact that she had never heard anyone besides her mother who could talk so much and so fast.
Jason says that it was Amanda's cuteness that he loved right off the bat.
After this date, they were inseparable, going to the Butterfly conservatory, the hockey games, dinners, playing guitar hero and Amanda kicking Jason's butt at Star Wars trivial pursuit and Star Wars monopoly!
One day Jason was talking about his really close friend Kevin and Wife Tryna and how he couldn't wait for me to meet them because they were so nice. Amanda giggled. It was meant to be.
Months had gone by and Jason asked Amanda to move in with her, to which she said 'of course'.
They fixed up the upstairs, re-painted and bought some IKEA furniture and voila, it’s been happy living ever since.
They have a cute little bungalow just on the east side of Guelph.
They met almost two years ago, and can't wait till they say their vows together on October 2, 2010.
