{Simple but somewhat long}
We met in Cape Coral High school when I was a Sophomore and he was a senior. (go maria!) j/k
We were both good friends with a guy named David from school, but PJ and I never knew each other or were never even introduced. So I was throwing a surprise 16th birthday party for another friend named Marie and I was inviting of course our friends including David. David kept telling me oh I don't know I have plans with PJ and I don't think he would want to go to a surprise party if he didn't know her or something along those lines. So I said well just bring him anyways and check it out. (me still not knowing PJ at all) So they came, she was surprised for her party and man was I glad David brought PJ. :) So of course ya know we were young and talking with our friends separately and I know I was talking about him and saying how cute and quiet he was. And groups of us played twister and throughout the night we finally end up talking. And by the end of the night, it was myself, PJ, Marie, (another friend Natalie) and David who were the last ones left. We were literally wrestling for fun and flirting and exchanged numbers. (which I did have a boyfriend at the time, but he was not there) So it was less then a week later that yes I broke up with my boyfriend (go pj!), went to the St Andrews fair (Jan 29th, 2003) as a first date with PJ and a group of friends and... we just hit it off! That night after we went home we talked on the phone for about 5 hours straight just getting to know about each other. From today until our wedding day to forever- The best life ever to be able to share it together!

PJ and I are on our cruise from Thursday, November 12th - Monday the 16th and he has this scavenger hunt planned out that he made, but made it look like carnivals (which you can see in the photo galleries)
Thursday he put the first letter on our desk in our stateroom reading that we were randomly selected to participate in carnivals scavenger hunt. There were a list of items that we had to find and leave in our stateroom for them to pick up Saturday evening. Of course Saturday evening all the items were gone that we had put in a plastic bag to keep them all together. (yes, he put them away in his backpack) The 2nd letter came Saturday reading that we are in the top 10 and to meet on the Lido pool deck which was the main pool deck to hear the winner at 1:00 pm. We arrived at the pool deck around 12:15 and just hung around. A lady who was coordinating the events on the cruise, announced us as winners of the scavenger hunt and to come up and claim our prize. So we are standing up there and PJ takes the microphone (watch the proposal video) gets down on one knee and says will you marry me? Of course I say YES! I was crying a little and shaking a lot. PJ was so nervous himself especially with hundreds of people watching us he forgot what he wanted to say. Also you will notice in the video in his nice words he is saying to me, he says these last COUPLE of years.... (lol) more like these last 6 or 7 years...
All in all, it was the best and I am so glad it was in a creative way and so special.
It turned out we became celebrity's on our cruise the last day and night and the next morning getting off the cruise. Everyone was congratulating us! And I mean everyone! It was awesome and so special that we will always remember.
