I really believe Wesley and I were meant for each other from the very start. As destiny would have it, Wesley stopped by a friend’s house to visit. This friend happened to be my long lost half sister, that was trying to track down my father. The reunion left everyone happy, excited, and eager to catch up for lost time. During the momentous event pictures were taken and tissues were passed. My sister returned home along with her pictures and memories to Maryland.
It all started from that journey which lead to this joyous occasion. Wesley saw my picture and inquired eagerly to meet the cute girl in braids. Of course my sister protested, but Wesley wore her down. Wesley finally got my number and did nothing. Apparently, Wesley freaked out that I gave the number. So his best friend offered to pay for the long distance phone call. Everyone who knows Wesley, knows that he is financially aware ok, ok Cheap! So that was the deciding vote. Wesley called and as faith would have it we spoke for hours, and found that we had a lot in common. Here we are getting married. I have the honor of marrying my best friend. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the upcoming journey. I’m all packed with wisdom, understanding, patience, and love for my Wesley.
I met Judith through her sister Nadege. I was visiting Nadege and she showed me a picture of her sister. I took one look at Judith and decided I wanted to date her. At first, Nadege said no but then almost a year later, she introduced me to Judith, her sister. I remember when I first spoke to Judith. I was a roommate with another friend of mine whose name was also Judith. My friend went to New York with Nadege and when she came back, she told me that she and Nadege had told Judith (Nadege Sister) about me and that I should call. I was nervous, call and say what? However, Judith (my friend and roommate at the time) told me the first long distance call was on her (at this time, I did not have a cell phone). So I called Nadege sister (Judith) and we ended up speaking for over 4 hrs. Judith (my roommate) would later tell me if she knew we would speak that long, she might have thought twice about paying for the first call. Before I called, I was a nervous wreck, at the end of the call; it was like we knew each other for a long time. I remember the day we spoke. It was Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 1996. Judith invited me to visit her in New York that same weekend. I was nervous visiting her that weekend. I visited her that weekend and had a great time and the rest as they say is history. The thing that attracted me to her immediately was that she was very impulsive. I had always been a person who was deliberative. Another thing that attracted me to her initially was that we had a lot in common. I must admit that when I first met Judith, I was just interested in dating; marriage was the furthest thing from my mind. However, I fell in love with Judith and today; we are preparing to get married.
