fun kicking in
So. The dominee is testing our compatibility. The kitchen is considering our menu wishes. The decorators are working on the master plan. The invites are in the mail. The dress is on its way.
(My lovely, smart, career-girl sister conveniently has a business trip to London, just in time to pick it up!) I think I'm finally getting the hang of this and really starting to enjoy it, hurrah! Can't wait!

Okay this is too strange. mywedding.com says it's 122 days till 22/11 when we'll be getting married at number 33 main street! BUT, that's not the weirdness. The weirdness is that theknot.com, claims it's only 121 days and that I still have 123 things to do...And Werner's auspicious numbers are 111 and 222 so wow. 123 things to do huh? Wow.
overstimulation
Okay, i need help? Spending waaaay too much time on the knot.com, peonies&polaroids and other fascinating wedding-related sites... And while these sites are brilliantly inspirational and full of fabulous images, stories and ideas, I actually HAVE a wedding to plan and it's supposed to happen in less than 5 months! Breathe... So now I realise that this blog is just another way to procrastinate. So I'm just writing to say that I won't write anymore, today. So, have a good one. And send me...
a life less ordinary
ooh things are getting interesting! just when we were ready to sign the agreement with the venue, a few issues of interest popped up! i'm trying my best not to worry, but started looking at some alternative venues, just in case. 5 months before the height of wedding season in cape town, and i'm venue hunting... ha, what fun! if anyone has any fab suggestions, please let me know? anything a little out of the ordinary would be nice... modern is always good. but also hold thumbs we work it all...
back and bad
so we're back, and we're about to go live yay! been live for a while but didn't want to let you folks know till all was ready... so we're ready, at least the website is! trip was fantastic, crazy, whirlwind, nuts and it's good to be home. need to spend some quality time on "the wedding" soon, but this will do for tonight. ps. found my dress in nyc but ended up ordering it from london, whoo-hoo!! 1 item down, 386 to go. x
212 days to go
so we've got a little over 200 days left and i'm feeling rather calm although, we'll be away for almost all of may so that leaves about 170 days actually available for wedding business? calm is fading fast... either way, too excited about the trip to worry much now, will get back into uber-wedding-planning mode once we're back! the trip: werner and his dad are going on business to taiwan. ansie and i will kill some time in NYC (wedding dress / wedding outfit shopping!!!) until...
