Welcome to the crazy mind of a bride with too much time on her hands! I figured I could blog about all my crazy ideas, rather than emailing my poor bridemaids (who I am sure are sick of me by now!)
...and STD meaning Save-the-Dates...NOT what you were thinking. While cruisin' around the net on day, enjoying my funemployment , I came across save-the-date postcards. I managed to throw something together in photoshop and they are pretty effin' cool, if I do say so myself. I got the first round of them ordered this morning (for like 14 bucks! SCORE!) and can't wait for them to get here. Not that they are going to are going to be doing anything...
Many of you probably already know this, but some of you may not. As of the end of August, Bry and I will be residents of Las Vegas!! Woop woop! Our dreams of living in Vegas are FINALLY coming true. All of our plans are falling into place, easing my anxiety a little bit. Bry will be heading down the first week of August and I’m following the third.
I just need to figure our what I want to do job-wise down there. ...
As of yesterday at 9:00am, I am officially unemployed. Not fired...but laid off due to the lack of work. Blech. I knew it was probably going to happen at some point, but I hoped it didn't. It was a real shock to my system but a day later, I'm happy to report that the world is still revolving and the sky is not falling. My friends are amazing. Within 6 hours of being laid off, I had 4 different people willing to help me out with jobs. Truely amazing...
This morning while cruisin’ around on Alfred Angelo, pokin’ at bridesmaids dresses, I found it. Kirsty and I have been on this quest for at least a month looking for a picture of the short version of the long dress I fell in love with. This morning, like a light beam shining down from heaven, there it was. Alfred Angelo 7017S. (ok…maybe I am over-exaggerating…but it seemed that way to me!)
My bridesmaid dress problem might be solved!...
Premiers June 19 th on TLC. It’s based on the Chapel of the Flowers down in Las Vegas, where we will be tying the knot next December! Since we booked there without actually visiting the chapel, it will be nice to see it on TV. Yeah…I’ve seen all the pictures and watched the videos on their website but I am hoping this show shows more of the behind-the-scenes stuff. I just hope it’s still as amazing as I think it is and that the people that work...
Thursday night, I thought the world was coming to an end. My laptop-with all my music, pictures and most of important...ALL OF MY WEDDING STUFF had decided to go kaput. Wouldn't even turn on. :( :( :( And of course....I had NOTHING backed up. Nadda thing. After talking to Bryan's brother, he was going to work on my computer and thought he'd be able to at least pop out the harddrive and get my stuff. So things were looking a little better. Lets fast...
do I do this to myself?! What happened to my original idea of a simple invitation? Oh that's right....I'm a bride with too much time on my hands. First I found the pocket-folds. Super. Those are AWESOME (which I still need to order...) Then I though of all the cool ideas to add to the invitation. Now...after hangin' on the message boards with my fellow Knotties, I see the idea for wrap-around addresses. How cool is that?! 5 minutes later, I had one...
since I last blogged ( I suck at this...) but that doesn't mean I haven't been planning my little heart out! Man...what am I going to do when this wedding is over?! LOL ... and before any of you can say it ... NO ...not decoarting a nursery! LOL So the last few weeks I have been really been looking for flower girl outfits. All the dresses I have seen I wouldn't dare put my neices in! What's with making little girls look like floozies? Over my dead...
....and my wedding dress doesn't zip up all the way! EEEKK! WTF. Ugh! I was soooooo happy when I got the call from Alfred Angelo today that my dress had came in. I couldn't WAIT to go pick it up. Unfortunatly, when I went to slip on my beautiful dress, we ran into one little (ok..maybe TWO BIG) problem. Uhh...the dang thing doesn't zip up all the way! I have never been so grateful that I have so much time before the wedding...but man...it was...
I am SO excited! I woke up a few weeks ago with this hair-brained idea for our invitations. Since then, I have been seraching high and low for white metallic pocket-folds. Who knew there were so many shades of white?! The only one I found remotly close to what I was looking for was waaaaaaaay out of my budget. That was, until yesterday :) Sitting in my mail box was the PERFECT white pocketfold sample. I'm tellin' ya...it was better than...
