George Washington's Estate and Gardens are about 25 minutes away. Stop by for a visit, spend some time in the shops, or have lunch at The Mount Vernon Inn.
This vineyard and winery is only about 20 minutes South of Woodbridge. Come down for a tasting, or bring a picnic lunch and sip some wine outside overlooking the hills of the vineyard.
Old Town Alexandria was once George Washington's home. It is filled with history, great restaurants, shops, ice cream parlors, and ghost tours!

20 minutes away from Woodbridge, you'll find Gunston Hall Plantation. This was the home of George Mason. Mason was one of the first to call for basic American liberties such as freedom of the press, religious tolerance and the right to a trial by jury.
Within walking distance of the hotels, is Potomac Mills Outlet Mall. It's huge, and is the #1 tourist attraction in Northern Virginia.
