Each and every member of our wedding party hold a special place in our hearts and lives. We are SO thankful to have each of them serving a special role at our wedding and in our marriage and look forward to many more wonderful times together to come! We want to thank the members of our wedding party for their support, kind words, gifts, travel and dedication to help make our wedding extra special!
Megan and I have been best friends literally our whole lives! We grew up 2 doors apart in Frankfort and were inseperable throughout our childhood, high school and even college years! Many late nights were spent having slumber parties, making s'mores, playing house, restaurant, school, and any other make believe game we could come up with as well as playing spotlight tag and hosting dance shows (our ultimate favorites!! :) We not only went to school together, lived a few doors apart, played together and went to church together- we even went to Georgetown College together and joined the same sorority! Megan has been one of my best friends as long as I can remember and has shared MANY, MANY special memories, fun times, laughs, tears, hugs and long conversations! I was honored by serving as the maid of honor in Megan and BJ's wedding and feel SO privledged to have Megan serving right by my side in my upcoming wedding!! She is a lifelong friend that I am SO thankful God has placed in my life for almost a quarter of a century! :) I love you, Meg!!
Amanda Mills and I might just be sisters that were seperated at birth! We just have SO much in common and have throughout our lives and have a BLAST whenever we're together!! :) We actually went to the same daycare growing up- Joyland Learning Center- deep in the heart of downtown Frankfort! We also went through elementary, middle and high schools in the same schools, only 1 year apart and really became close friends through our ACTEENS group at church. We served on mission trips to Cleveland, Tennessee (where Squirt and the Wipettes arose!) and then in inner-city Chicago- all great memories! We had a blast together through high school having sleepovers, going to dances with groups, hanging out in the summer and going to youth group events. Amanda and I have deemed each other "ghetto booty buddies" and just wait until you see us on the dance floor- it's amazing times! Although Amanda moved after college, whenever I talk to her or get to see her, it's just like we pick right back up from where we left off! She's an amazing woman and great friend! I love you, Amanda!
Courtney Campbell has been a close friend of mine since 7th grade when we met in "safe sitters training" at the local health department and were partners with our mannequin doll- Alex. Our friendship has been full of laughs and good times since the first day we met and upon performing mouth to mouth on "Alex", Courtney popped his head right off. :) I knew we'd be good friends after this, and thankfully, we have been for over 13 years now!! We have many great memories together from our days at Bondurant Middle School and all through high school at Western Hills! We have shared laughter and tears, anniversaries together and slumber parties, dances, Prom planning, fun times in college, tennis matches, and many, many more wonderful memories! Although Courtney moved away for grad school we always stayed close and I just really enjoy our times together and conversations! I was honored to serve in Courtney and Bobby's recent wedding and am SO glad to have my TI-83 buddy up there with me on our special day! I love you, Courtney!
I met Ashley the same day I met her twin sister, Courtney- at safe sitter training class. Ashley and I became close friends as well and had fun many times together at BMS and then in multiple classes and serving as class officers together at WHHS! Ashley and I developed our own special greeting for one another known as "Ashley Squared" and have shared many fun memories even into our college and grad school years. There were many weekends I'd go to stay with the Snapp girls at UK and then we continued our friendship beyond college throughout going to church together and participating in Bible studies and service projects! Ashley has been a sweet and fun friend and I was honored to read scripture in her wedding to Benjamin. I love you, Ashley!
Amanda and I have been friends for several years and grew up together in Frankfort. We became close friends in high school and began really spending time together, going to group dances, talking and sharing many hours keeping each other amused during French IV/V AP classes! We continued to hang out throughout our college years while she was at UK and I was at Gtown and then even got the privledge to live together as roommates while I was in graduate school and Amanda was finishing up pharmacy school! We have had many wonderful times together, dinners, late nights, long conversations and great memories! Amanda is one of my most wise and dear friends whom I love to talk to and spend time with. I had the honor of serving as a bridesmaid in Amanda and Chris' wedding last summer and I am SO honored to have Amanda by my side at my wedding to Matt! I love you, Amanda!!
Betsy- whom I like to affectionally call- Betsy Loo Hoo- has been a close friend since our days at Georgetown College. We actually lived a few doors apart our first year at GC in good ol' Knight Hall (no air conditioning!!) and I used to greet Betsy in the hallways. We joined the same sorority that year and soon became great friends and had many fun times together. Betsy became one of my best friends in college and we shared many, many laughs and fun times together in college- from Spring Break trips to Destin, Florida and on a cruise our Senior year- to crazy times in the AGD house, late night runs, fun times in Apt.3, going to "Swampies", Keeneland days and SO many more! Betsy and I lived together for our first year of graduate school while we both went to the Martin School and had a blast! And now we even work together! :) Oh, yeah, and we LOVE doing the "sprinkler" dance together! *as seen in the featured photo* I was given the privledge of serving as a bridesmaid at Betsy and Ryan's wedding and I am SO thankful to have Betsy up there by my side in my wedding to Matt! She has been extremely supportive of both of us during our whole relationship! I love you, Betsy Loo Hoo!
Sarah has been a wonderful friend for over 8 years now! We met at Georgetown College and became instant friends! Many late nights were spent up talking to Sarah in her 3rd floor room at Knight Hall, making late night runs runs around campus, doing homework together, going to PHA devos, doing "our walk" around campus, working out, hanging out in the caf, dressing up in crazy wigs and outfits, and prank calling for many, many hours! Sarah and I have SO much in common and just have an amazing time together- whatever we are doing!! :) She makes me laugh and has been a true friend for many years! Many wonderful memories were made on Spring Break trips to Destin, at The Swamp, dancing!!, at AGD events, during devos, and in many late night adventures together! Sarah and I had a wonderful year as roommates in the AGD house in college and I had the honor of serving as a bridesmaid in her wedding to Rob a few years ago! Sarah has been SO sweet and supportive through the years and in my relationship with Matt and is a true and loyal friend! I love you, Sarah!
Beth and I met at Georgetown College our Freshman year while living in Knight Hall. She has been such a great friend through the years and we have had many fun and special memories together! Many late night conversations, trips, dances, going to devos, prank calling for hours in college, hanging out during summer breaks, fun dinners and random events together in college have made Beth one of my closest friends. I have always been able to talk to Beth and enjoy our times together! We remained close friends throughout college and while I was in college and Beth was in law school. We've been through the laughter and tears together and I am SO glad that still be there by my side on my wedding day! I love you, Beth!
Laurel and I met early during our graduate school days at the UK Martin School. I had just entered graduate school after a wonderful college experience at Georgetown and was a bit nervous about a whole new environment and the BIG setting of the University of Kentucky and meeting Laurel was defintely a blessing! During a class where we were instructed to introduce ourselves to our classmates Laurel and I began talking and realized we had a lot in common and became quick friends! She helped me make it through grad school and we spent many, many, many late nights keeping each other up to work on group projects and homework assignments, making frosted brownies and talking about life. We have also shared in some fun events together and Laurel has been so supportive and caring of my relationship with Matt since the beginning. She had actually helped plan to Martin School party that I brought Matt to as my date for the first time and hung out with us that night! She has been such a special friend and is now working right beside me! :) I was honored to be by her side in her wedding to Greg and I am SO excited to have her there with me to celebrate in my wedding to Matt! I love you, Laurel!
Amy- whom I like to affectionately call "Ames" became my instant BFF soon after we met! We just clicked right away when we met almost 2 years ago and soon discovered our mutual love for tennis, planning fun events and get togethers, running and working out, traveling, outdoor activities, games!, Bible studies and just enjoying and making the most of life!! Amy is one of my dearest friends and just makes me laugh and smile :) every single time I'm around her!! She has become my dear tennis doubles partner, co-captain, event co-planner, workout and running buddy and bff here in Lex! We have shared many fun times, great conversations, service projects, special events, workouts, dressing up in SO many costumes, and memories together throughout the past few years. Amy has been a special friend to Matt and myself and has been SO sweet and supportive of our relationship- she was actually one of the very first pepple to see my engagement ring the NIGHT Matt proposed to me!! And, the funny thing is, the first thing she said to me was "cute blue coat" until she realized that I had a ring on and started screaming and jumping around :) I am SO honored and privledged to have Ames by my side during at our wedding day! I love you, Ames!
Well, Holly has a special place in my heart because she is Matt's sister and will soon by my sister-in-law! Although I never had a biological sister I always wanted one and couldn't ask for a better one! :) Holly is such a sweetheart and shares a very special relationship with Matt, who she refers to as "brother"! :) They are SO sweet and I can only hope that if we have a son and daughter someday that they will be just as close as these two siblings! Holly has been SO sweet and helpful throughout our relationship and during the wedding and even spent a day helping me look for my wedding gown! She has always made me feel so comfortable and welcomed and I am so appreciative for her! We always have such a great time hanging out, playing games, playing in the pool and just spending time with Holly and Brian and are SO excited to have them by our sides on our special day and in the years to come! I love you, Holly!
Andrea Lynn has been a light in my life since we met early on our first year at Georgetown College. One of my first memories of Andrea was in FCA when she talked about "harvest time" and I had never heard of it so I had to ask more- well I found out that she was just as down to earth and genuine as she had seemed in my first impression of her. From that day forward we became close friends- we shared many, many late night slumber parties in college just talking about life and our plans for the future and Andrea always had a way of making me laugh. She has been a great listener and supporter since we met 8 years ago and was there from the very beginning of my relationship with Matt. Although she moved far away to the Big Apple she has remained a very close friend and is one of those friends who I can not see or talk to for weeks and just pick right back up where we left off as soon as we see each other again. She's a true and loyal friend and always very thoughtful! I love you, Andrea Lynn!!
Callie and I just met in 2008 but she quickly became a dear friend to me. We both share a passion for enjoying life and getting involved in a variety of activities and loving finding fun events and activities in the community to enjoy as well as being outdoors. Callie has been a very sweet and supportive friend and very excited and supportive my engagement to Matt. I treasure the statement she made when I first called and told her of our engagement and so genuinely excited she expressed how happy she was for us and said, "You know- you all are just such a welcoming and great couple. Some people seem to have more of an impact as individuals but you all are one of those couples that really make an impact together." It was a very sweet and treasured statement that I really appreciate! We have shared in many potlucks, tennis action, an Esther Bible study, outdoor activities and other fun times and I look forward to more to come! I love you, Cals!
Truly two of the coolest and smartest and cutest gals I know- Miss Mikayla Goff and Miss Haley Goff! These young ladies are two of the sweetest and most wonderful girls I've ever met (their parents should be VERY proud!) :)) I've been babysitting them since Haley was a little girl and Mikayla was just a toddler! Watching them grow up into sweet and loving girls has been a joy and I can't wait to see what else is in store. Mikayla is hilarious and very outgoing and will be a WONDERFUL flowergirl! Haley is growing up to be a beautiful and sweet young lady and will be fabulous in charge of our guest book! Matt and I both love these gals!
These two are a fun duo and we always have a great time together- whether it's playing tennis doubles, having some fondue action, going on a road trip or playing games and acting silly at potlucks!! We have been blessed to have Karoline and Brad as friends and really are excited to have them as part of our wedding day! Love you guys!
