February 14, 2007 was the first Valentine's Day that Matt and Megan spent together as a married couple. Matt surprised Megan with supper in front of the fire place! He had Megan get all dressed up, and then when she came downstairs, he seated her at a small table that he had decorated, and set with their good china. First, he served her salad, with bread and butter. Then the main course, steak for Matt, and chicken, in the shape of a heart, for Megan! They exchanged cards and had their Valentine candy for desert! It was a wonderful evening and a very special first Valentine's Day.

Our Rehearsal was held Friday evening at 4 pm. We had everyone meet us at the church, all dressed up and ready to start rehearsing! After practicing everything for the ceremony, we all drove to Tara for the rehearsal dinner. Tara is a bed and breakfast that replicates the home of Tara in the classic "Gone with the Wind" movie. We wanted a little "southerness" brought into our wedding, since Matt's whole family is from Alabama! Matt's mother, Lela, decorated the room and tables with Matt's old cowboy boots from when he was a kid! It looked beautiful and Tara was such a wonderful idea to bring our two families together for this wonderful occasion!

getting ready

June 3, 2006 turned out to be somewhat of a rainy day! However, it worked out perfectly because everytime it rained everyone was inside, and everytime they had to be outside, it was nice & sunny! The day went very well and was soo special. This was the first wedding held in the "new" building of the Oak Grove Church. The reception was held in Sandy Lake, PA at the McQuiston Center. At the end of the day, Matt and Megan's photographer pulled them outside for a final picture. A rainbow had appeared in the sky and everybody knows...a rainbow on your wedding day means "GOOD LUCK!"

our hotel

After the reception, Matt and Megan decided to leave and head to their honeymoon destination. They drove a few hours before stopping in Washington, PA. The next day they arrived in Myrtle Beach, SC! It was so beautiful there and they had a wonderful time! They stayed at the Hampton Inn, spent time at Broadway at the beach, went to Ripley's aquarium, played putt-putt golf at Mount Atlanticus, and saw two shows, The Carolina Opry and The Dixie Stampede!
