getting showered:)
This past Sunday, I got bridal showered by some of my most favorite women here in Peter Hall. The event took place on the roof of Peter Hall during the evening. I was told to wear white with a splash of yellow and blue:) There was nothing else that was asked on my part; I was to simply show up the day-of at the right time, and to enjoy the evening. We're so glad to be able to finally introduce to ya'll a couple who has made an immense impact on the both of us. This is the couple who have counseled us, loved us, and shared a great deal about their 20 year (and more!) marriage with us so that we can learn from their experience. Matt and I meet with Ferdie and Meena Nuega once a week - every Tuesday night at 9:00pm to be specific - in their cozy home. Our meetings are always very open and real discussions (so good!), always...
Mel's 23rd
Mel's 23rd birthday was celebrated on April 9th. A group of teachers & I decided to surprise her with a play . A play centered around her life (Trinity Western & China). It was by far the best birthday present I have ever given (thanks to Him). The joy that Mel experienced on this day was well worth all of the hard work behind the scenes. Good news : The entire thing is on video. Don't forget to ask to see it when we make a North American tour this summer. Love, Matt...
100!
Since today, we are 100 days away from committing our lives to each other in marriage. I (Mel) have been especially anticipating the start of this countdown. Somehow, I want for us to do it right. Hello peng yous, For a quick update: Matt and I are back and safe (also a tad cold) in China. Both trips coming back here were long but well worth it. It had been a month since we saw each other last, and it has been good to be reunited for sure:) After wedding planning for 2 months in wonderful Calgary, I am looking forward to this change of scenery; though planning is obviously a little more difficult from this side of the world! Nevertheless, we are looking forward to each day...
