A typo

Dear our wedding guests, you should have received the wedding invitation by now (except those who did not fill out the survey on time). Please let us know if you did not receive it. We hope you like it. Thanks to Tom, we found out we have a small typo in the invitation. We are very sorry about it, but i guess it just shows that Mavis and I are not trying to be a "perfect" couple. We make mistakes quite often :p  Thankfully, we have good friends and family that can help us along the way...

Oregon Trip

This past weekend, one of my best friends - Yen-Ting got married in Eugene, OR.  Daniel and I took Friday off and drove almost 300 miles down there.  It was very nice and excited to see all of friends over there.  Especially,  attended Yen-Ting and Ben's wedding.  The wedding was small and simple, but very nice and warm.  I wish our coming wedding won't be a mess (start to worry about not being very aggressive in dealing with details). On our way back to...

The ugly handwriting

This week Mavis and I wanted to put the finishing touch on the invitations: writing the mailing addresses on the envelope.  We discussed about what kind of pen we should use, and we decided to go to Bartel Drug to find some nicer pens, so the handwriting would look nice. We really wanted a brown color pen since it matches our theme, but we would need to buy the whole set. We settled on a black pen that claimed to have "calligraphic" effect. It turned out the pen is really hard to use....

Crappy Weather in Seattle-Random Blog

Couple weeks ago, it was 80 something degree.  Recently, Seattle is back to winter time (feel like) -- rainy and cloudy days along with low temperature.  I guess this might be one of the reasons that I feel so lazy and tired (the other one of course is lots of meetings at work).  Poor Daniel, he becomes the victim of my bad mood.  Sorry....... Good thing is: Daniel and I finished all of invitation related work.  It was relaxing when you just repeated the same...

"What would you like to order" survey result

After a many-day survey, finally, our menu is determined.  Having wedding guests participate in menu decision was a random idea.  Daniel and I were unable to pick three, as dishes we tried were delicious and those on menu seem delicious as well.  It was fun to have interaction with our guests. Well, thanks 61 guests who provided your inputs.  Here is the result and you will see them in the invitation.  67.2% voted for Seafood and 32.8% went for meat.  Top three...

130 days

I have to catch up since Mavis already added two entries. It has been a while since i last blogged. It is amazing how much happened since then. It is also sad that I did not write a lot to record the thoughts during this time.  It has been two years since I moved to Seattle. I feel like there are still many places that I haven't visited.  I guess that's one of the reasons why people like about Seattle. You can discover something unique at each corner. On the home page, the counter...

2008 First hot hot weekend!!!!!

This past weekend was hot hot hot!!!! 86 degree is rare in Seattle even during the summer time.  Well, the nice weather gave Seattle people an excellent opportunity to enjoy the outside activities, since people had been indoor for the entire 6-7 months. Daniel and I went for couple of walks during the weekend.  We visited Pike Place Market, Lake Union and Green Lake.  Of course, we didn't miss the delicious seafood.  o^_^o  Hoping the summer can come ASAP, so we can...

Back on Blossom Street

I chatted to one of my best friends in Taiwan on MSN.  She suggested that we can share our lives in Seattle.   I think it is a very good idea.   So, I start the first one. Last week, I went to St.Louis for training.  Before that, I bought a book called "Back on Blossom Street" from QFC.  It was very random.  I was attracted by its cover (see the attached phone and you will know why).  The book talks about lives of four women in Seattle.  One...
