Our Story
Unexpected Journey
Once, there was a boy born in Tokyo, Japan. The boy's name is Daniel. He later went to Maryland and New York for school.
Once, there was a girl born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The girl's name is Mavis. She later went to Oregon for school.
It was God's arrangement. Both of Daniel and Mavis moved to Seattle for work. They met in a fellowship.
It was a trip with friends in the same fellowship to Vancouver during Thanksgiving weekend. Daniel and Mavis chatted a lot while driving. They got to know each other more. Later, thanks to a DVD project initiated by a friend (who we cannot name). Mavis showed her care to Daniel by delivering meals and encouraging words. Daniel was touched and felt warm. He decided to pursue a further relationship. Their journey starts on 1/15/07.

The Proposal
story about cookies
It is a story about "Cookies". Of course not. Just kidding. =p
It was just a normal day. Mavis was upset and mad at her colleague. Daniel wanted to encourage her and sent her a Hallmark E-card. When Mavis saw Daniel said "I feel really blessed to have you" and "I know life has been quite challenging for, but i know God will provide. I will be right beside you", she was touched and knew Daniel is the one.
At that night, after dinner with Daniel's cousin from Taiwan, Mavis asked Daniel if she can have the rest of her life with him. This is how it happened. It was different from the normal movie version -- Not initiated by the guy, no romantic setup, but definitely sweet.

ABOUT MAVIS 小君
In Daniel's words: Mavis has the cutest smile in the world. She likes to sing and play piano. She doesn't like her job that much. She loves to eat popcorn chicken, potato chips and bubble tea.
ABOUT DANIEL 阿丹
In Mavis' words: Daniel is very considerate and a great listener. He likes basketball and reading lots of books. Always has his camera with him to take random pictures. He doesn't like Mavis have too much popcorn chicken and potato chips.
