The same night as our wedding is the "National Police Memorial Weekend", so several hotels have warned that they expect the city hotels to be sold out, especially on Saturday. It was sufficiently serious that none of the hotels would let us book a 'block' for any wedding guests.
As an alternative to the standard hotels, there's also several B&B's in town, notably the Albert House Inn B&B (Which rob has recommended to several people that reported they loved it.) http://www.albertinn.com/ or The Jailhouse HI hostel (Have known people that have enjoyed staying here and there are private and semi-private rooms)http://www.hihostels.ca/OntarioEast/en/index.aspx?sortcode=2.0. These are much cheaper options.
The rates below were researched by Karin McNair and were valid as of April 9th, 2012 -- so it's worthwhile checking the current rate to see if you can do any better. I would also cross-compare websites as sometimes the hotel's site is cheaper and sometimes booking agencies such as expedia are cheaper. Christine's father arranged the group rate at the Chateau Laurier and Christine's mother arranged the group rate at the Westin.
