ROB AND CHRISTINE

Important Information!

1. Gordon Church in St. Elmo

1. Gordon Church in St. Elmo

This lovely rural church is without indoor plumbing -- so please aware of that on the day. There's a Tim Horton's immediately at the exit from Highway 417. (Less than five minutes down the road). In case of emergencies, there is a chemical toilet at the Congregational church just across the road.

There's parking along the road in front of the church and as well as a small lot next to the church.

Please wear non-marking shoes. The beautiful wood sprung dance floor is designed for dancing but not sharp stilettos or or other shoes likely to damage the finish. Heels are okay as long as they're non-marking. We may have an emergency supply of flip flops for those who cannot be without their topple heels during the rest of their day. And of course there's always the genuine pleasure of dancing in your bare feet!

There is street parking in the vicinity of the church. We strongly encourage our guests to make use of public transportation and taxis. The church is accessible via OC Transpo routes 2 or 159. See the OC Transpo route planner: http://www.octranspo.com/tps/jnot/startEN.oci or the OC bus schedules: http://www.octranspo1.com/splash/. BlueLine Taxi can be booked at (613) 238-1111.

3. Food

As indicated on our invitation -- there will not be a full sit-down meal at our wedding. Our ceremony will be held at 2pm near Maxville, ON and the celebratory dance-style reception will be held at 7pm in Ottawa. We will have many different kinds of hors d'oeuvres and sweets at the reception including a couple food stations -- but you'll likely want to grab anything more substantial than that prior to the reception.
