Wedding Accommodations
We have been able to get two hotels in Galveston to offer us discounted rates for the weekend of our wedding. The Hotel Galvez is where the wedding ceremony and reception will be held. The Baymont Inn and Suites is not far down the road and offers a second option. Both hotels are offering greater discounts for those guests that are staying both Friday and Saturday nights. There is a discount for Saturday only guests and it is still considerably lower than what the hotel's published rates are. Please pay close attention to the cut off dates and let us know if you have any problems with your reservations. We can't wait to see you all!
Hotel Galvez
Individual guest room reservations can be made by contacting the Hotel Galvez at 409-765-7721, during the hours of 9:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday Only, and specifically asking for the In-House Reservations Department. Once you have been transferred to In-House Reservations, please ask for the Maloy/Bowers Wedding.
** Please note that it is very important that you speak to someone in the In-House reservation department. Wyndham has a Central Reservations department that is not even in Texas. If you get transferred to that department, they may not be able to see all the details of our event. Additionally, it is very important to call during the times specified above. If you have any problems with your reservation, please do not hesitate to call our sales manager's direct phone number. Her name is Rashida Jolivet and she is very helpful. Cut-Off Date for Reservations
The discounted rates will be available for the number of rooms contracted until April 15th. Thereafter, reservations will be taken on a space and rate availability basis at the Hotel’s current rack rates.
Baymont Inn and Suites
Please call the number above and ask tell them you are with the Maloy/Bowers wedding. Reservations must be made by April 10th to get the discounted rate. The Baymont is approximately 3 miles away from the Galvez, but a short and pleasant drive down the Seawall.
