Wedding Planning
Hello All! Everyone always says wedding planning is crazy... They're right! We're so excited about having everyone down to celebrate this special day. I can't believe we're less than 5 months away!
With as crazy as life in Houston has been, our plans are moving along smoothly so far. We booked our wedding venue, the Hotel Galvez in Galveston on August 31st. Hurricane Ike hit 12 days later and demolished Galveston Island. Luckily, the Galvez sustained amazingly minor damage and reopened in October. I haven't been down to check it out myself, but have heard plenty from others. Thankfully, hurricane season is over until next June.
Although we've accomplished a lot, we still have so much left to do. We will probably take it easy over the holidays and get back to it in early January. It seems like every time we get something checked off of our list, 10 other details come up that I hadn't even thought about! I am so thankful that I have so many people willing to help. I don't know what I would do without them!
In January, I am going to get accommodation details sorted out for everyone. I need to take a trip down to Galveston to do this and just can't find the time before then. We have already confirmed a discounted rate for our guests that would like to stay at the Galvez. Our goal is to also get an additional hotel nearby to give us a block of rooms for a discounted rate. I will post details on our website as soon as I know them.
We are so looking forward to sharing this day with everyone that can make it. Chris and I have had so many blessings poured over our lives. Praise God!!!
