Travelling to Galveston
Chris and I are so happy that so many people are travelling from out of town to come to our wedding. Below is some information that may help you in making your travel plans. From William P Hobby Airport
Hobby airport is the closest airport to Galveston. It is on the southeast side of Houston, and about 45 miles to the Galvez. Hobby is the largest hub for Southwest Airlines. They all service flights through American Airlines, Delta, and a few others. The transportation costs below are estimates from the Galvez website.
Directions
Turn right on Airport Blvd to Gulf Frwy.Take the I-45 S ramp. Take I-45 S 36 miles into Galveston. I-45 becomes Broadway.Take Broadway to 21st St. & turn right to Seawall Blvd. Hotel is on left.

From George Bush Intercontinental Airport
George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is located north of Houston, a little over 70 miles from Galveston. This airport is the largest hub for Contentinental Airlines. IAH also services flights from American Airlines, Delta, Frontier, Northwest, United Airlines, and US Airways, among others. Direct flights are currently available from Omaha for around $ 218 per passenger through Continental. The Transportation Costs below are estimates provided by the Hotel Galvez website.

Take JFK Blvd. to Beltway 8 W.Take Beltway 8 to I-45 S.Take I-45 S approx 60 miles into Galveston. I-45 becomes Broadway-take Broadway to 21st Street & turn right to Seawall Blvd. Hotel on left.
