The Polk Room at Park Place
400 Pike Street - 4th Floor
Cincinnati, OH 45202
For the rehearsal dinner, we've chosen to include include elements of the traditional Indian Mendhi as well. The Hindu marriage season is a special time for Henna tattoos or 'mehndi'. Hindus often use the term 'mehndi' interchangeably with marriage. It is believed that henna gives blessings, luck, and joy. Some get their future spouse's initials hidden into their mehndi design. There may also be symbolic designs representing joy, luck, success, beauty, and other positive qualities.
Henna artists will be on hand to get us all prepared for the wedding day. One of our favorite local eateries, Ollie's Trolley, will be catering the event complete with his signature soul food menu. How about THAT for a mix in cultures!
