Historic Downtown Ithaca, & the award-winning pedestrian mall - “The Commons”-, is the economic, social and cultural heart of Tompkins County with an international flair. Many unique specialty shops featuring apparel, art, fine crafts and jewelry, florists, children’s toys and apparel, books, music, musical instruments, contemporary furnishings and home décor, outdoor gear and apparel, antiques, and second hand finds, many ATM and Bank Centers. Don’t miss the shops and restaurants in DeWitt Mall, as well as on Cayuga & Aurora Sts. There’s plenty of parking in the garages, free Sat-Sun).
Cornell Plantations is an area of great beauty and serenity. The arboretum, botanical garden, and natural areas of Cornell University offer a network of trails through its grounds on and off campus for hiking and natural study. Call for campus map. The Garden Gift Shop offers a unique selection of books and Cornell Cooperative Extension Bulletins on a wide variety of gardening and plant related topics. Mon-Fri 9am-4pm year round and on Sat-Sun 11am-4pm in spring and summer.

Unique concept designed to bring together over 50 regional and community artists. Self-guided tours of studios: sculptures, paintings, photography, wood carvings and more. This organization is run by the Community Arts Partnership, their offices are in the Clinton House in Downtown Ithaca.
Designed by I.M. Pei, the museum houses an impressive collection that spans forty centuries and six continents with particular strengths in prints as well as Asian and contemporary art. Offers panoramic views of Cornell, Ithaca and Cayuga Lake. Group tours available. Admission is free. On the Discovery Trail.
Ithaca's own micro-brewery. Open for tastings, tours and homebrew sales. Tastings everyday with tours on Saturdays. Beer sold at the brewery's retail shop. Open Tues-Thurs 11am-6pm, Fri-Sat 11am-7pm, Sun 12-5pm.
The Ithaca Farmers’ Market was established in 1973. After operating in various temporary locations, the Market found a permanent home on Ithaca’s waterfront. Our site includes a large covered pavilion, picnic area, docking facilities and extensive parking. We feature fresh, locally grown produce, as well as plants, specialty baked goods, meats and cheeses, wine, condiments, ready-to-eat foods and a wide assortment of art, crafts, clothing and furniture. All products are made or grown within a 30-mile radius. Tiohero Tours also offers sightseeing cruises on weekends at the Market. The Market is a community-gathering place where you can shop, eat, and visit. There's always something special at the Ithaca Farmers' Market.
World-famous vegetarian restaurant where Mike used to work. Emily highly highly highly recommends the Vegan Chocolate Cake, which may be the most delicious chocolate cake she has ever tasted.

Enfield Glen is the scenic highlight of this park; where you can swim up to the waterfall and stand right under the water as it falls all around you. It is an area of rustic beauty with craggy gorges and winding trails bearing names like "fire and brimstone" with waterfalls named Lucifer Falls and Devil's Kitchen. Limited cross-country skiing, summer recreation program, old mill located at upper park, picnic area, swimming, playground, camping, cabins, dump station.

The Sciencenter is a hands-on science museum for people of all ages with over 200 exhibits including educational programs, outdoor science park, Curiosity Corner for preschoolers, animal room, seasonal 18-hole science-themed miniature golf course, and a gift shop. Help toy ducks swim, dam a creek, experiment with science discovery kits, meet corn snakes or other creatures, connect with your inner artist at the Reinvention Station, journey through the solar system on the Sagan Planet Walk, and more. Open Sept-June Tues-Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 12-5pm; July-Aug Mon-Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 12-5pm.
After tasting Sheldrake Point wine at the wedding, you're probably going to want to take some home...especially the Riesling. Just a warning.
Situated on historic ground containing a pre-Civil War cemetery and stagecoach stop, the vineyard produces wine that underscores its status as the only winery in Ithaca. Featured wines include award winning Riesling and Cabernet Franc, as well as the all time favorites Ithaca White and Ithaca Red. Tours, tastings, gift shop, and banquet space available.
