Thank you so so so much to our parents and siblings, who are helping us out with all of this crazy wedding planning! We thought this would be a good place to introduce and acknowledge them!
Also, since we think it's not so cool to call your nearest and dearest "maids" (even ones of honor!), we are telling everybody what our sisters are "Made Of" instead!
Although they were married in their hometown of Erie, PA in 1982, Emily's parents have been raising their family in Sinking Spring, PA for many years. Emily's dad is the Chair of the Department of ObGyn at the Reading Hospital, while her mom is the "General Manager" of the crazy Neubert household.
They love working on their house and garden, playing tennis, attending the symphony and theatre, all things Jamaica, and of course spending time with their family!
Dan and Anne live in Randolph Center, VT in the beautiful home where Mike and his sister Emily grew up. They have both had long careers at the Gifford Medical Center, though Anne is recently retired. They are very involved in lots of different groups and projects, and have many hobbies ranging from woodworking (Dan) to basket weaving (Anne)!
One ongoing project is their ever-growing garden, full of the most beautiful flowers and most delicious vegetables you can imagine!
Mike's big sister, a.k.a "The Original Emily Pritchard", is such an amazing, calming presence...we know she will keep us cool and collected on wedding day!
My favorite thing about Emily is...HER SPUNK, her belief system, her dedication to my little brother... her tattoo designs (hint hint).
My favorite thing about Mike is...everything.
My secret talent is...keeping secrets.
At the wedding, you will find me...dancing in awkward positions.
My advice for a successful marriage is...don't listen to too much advice.
Emily's half sister, and mother to Laila: Official Baby of Awesome, did this wedding thing just a few short years ago with her husband Nick. She is our secret planning weapon and Guru of All Things Wedding.
My favorite thing about Emily is...that she is and has always been a 100% original. Em is such a creative, beautiful spirit and unabashedly herself no matter what.
My favorite thing about Mike is...he makes my sister happy. And that he's such a chill, great guy.
My secret talent is...oh gosh, there are so many, but something most people don't know is that I am a really, really good cook. I mean it, just ask my husband.
At the wedding, you will find me...dancing with my cutie-pie daughter, Laila & my husband, Nick.
My advice for a successful marriage is...don't ever be a cliche...have fun, love each other & be each other's best friend. It's all a lot easier than people make it out to be.
Emily's little sister will be on hand to keep the party goin' and the champagne flowin'! She would like everyone to know that, in addition to her formal title, she will also respond to "Unicorn of Pride". (We have no idea why.)
My favorite thing about Emily is...she always has my back, gives great advice, and she used to let me share her bed everytime I wet mine (which was regularly).
My favorite thing about Mike is...that he is able to gracefully adjust to the craziness of the Neubert family!
My secret talent is...I can outdrink the entire family. Oh yeah, I also have super stretchy eyelids!
At the wedding, you will find me...Making a fool out of myself on the dance floor and embarrassing the whole family as per usual.
My advice for a successful marriage is...Put your spouse's happiness above your own.
You will likely find Emily's youngest brother...(duh)...rocking out. Watch out if you see him with his guitar--you're probably about to be serenaded with some Tenacious D or other wedding-inappropriate tunes! Emily's greatest wish is for Daniel to forswear his mac-and-cheese-only diet and eat something at the wedding brunch!
My favorite thing about Emily is... she's freakin' awesome!
My favorite thing about Mike is... he's a gamer just like me.
My secret talent is... playing guitar & singing.
At the wedding, you will find me... probably doing something I shouldn't be.
My advice for a successful marriage is... live the way Borat lives and you will have "Great Success!"
Emily's older-younger brother (as in, younger than Emily, but older than Danny!), will undoubtedly be helping out behind the scenes and making sure things run smoothly. Just like his big sister, he's got great taste in art and music! Just say no if he asks if you want to see his Borat mankini, though...
My favorite thing about Emily is...so hard to choose...so few choices...
My favorite thing about Mike is...how chill he is.
My secret talent is...being ridiculously awesome.
At the wedding, you will find me...with Mallory...at the bar.
My advice for a successful marriage is...don't take advice for a successful marriage from me!
While Brianna isn't technically a family member, she is one of our very best friends, and there is just no way Emily could imagine doing this wedding thing without Brianna by her side! We recently flew to California for Brianna's wedding to her AWESOME husband Charles, and we are beyond excited to share another big celebration with them in Ithaca.
My favorite thing about Emily is...her late night barefoot on a hotel bed while drunk wedding toast, her honesty, her originality, the fact she had a car all through college, her incredible friendship even across 3000 miles.
My favorite thing about Michael is...his relaxed manner, his propensity for facial hair, his tour guide ability in Vermont, his incredible kindness.
My secret talent is...I can burp on command.
At the wedding, you will find me... guiding the ring bearer down the aisle probably while crying my eyes out and hanging out with my fabulous husband Charles!
My advice for a successful marriage is...to surround yourself with friends and family who love and support you. Laugh, especially when things go wrong. Shed the occasional tear. Dedicate yourselves to each other everyday. Be yourselves and do what you think is best for you, regardless of what others think. Most importantly love each other, even when you don't like each other. Trust me on this, I've been married for 3 months!
Moxie joined our family in August 2005, and we can't believe our "baby" is already 4 years old! At the wedding, you will see Mox in the ceremony, fulfilling her extremely important responsibilities as our Ring "Bear". She would like everyone to know that she will be happy to perform her signature dance in exchange for food donations.
My favorite thing about Emily is...how she makes up funny songs that have my name in them and rubs my tummy.
My favorite thing about Mike is...what a fantastic stick thrower he is! Seriously, the stick goes sooooo far!
My secret talent is...moonwalking.
At the wedding, you will find me...being adorable, making a heartfelt toast, dancing.
My advice for a successful marriage is...keep the puppy happy, and everyone's happy.
