Attractions
San Diego, CA
There is so much to do in San Diego, from the World Famous San Diego Zoo to unique shopping to historic Old Town! There are also near by day trips such as Disneyland and Long Beach. Here are a few of our favorite attractions:
Simply Italian
This is Aleck's mom’s Italian lighting store, filled with gorgeous Italian products, including crystal jewelry and Venetian masks. Located in Little Italy it is surrounded by great places to eat as well as other unique shops. This is a must see!
The San Diego Zoo
The World Famous San Diego Zoo has everything from monkeys to polar bears to snakes and bugs from around the world. A day at the zoo is a great activity for families too!
Sea World
Stop by Sea World if the weather is too hot to handle and get cooled off at the Shamu Show! Interact with dolphins, starfish, and stingrays or be entertained by the animal shows!
The Wild Animal Park
This is another family favorite attraction that is highly recommended. Be sure to take the tram ride and you will believe you are actually on an African safari!
Seaport Village/Embarcadero
This San Diego Bay waterfront spot truly has it all- unique shopping and food, live entertainment, and historical sites featuring the Midway Aircraft Carrier. This is one of Tara's mom's favorite places in San Diego.
Old Town
Old Town is full of historic buildings from the settlement of California in the late 1700s and early 1800s. Aside from a history lesson Old Town offers delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine and cute souvenir shops!
Disneyland
Of course if there is time to take a day trip to Orange County we recommend going to the Happiest Place on Earth! Plus you can check out where Aleck proposed to Tara (the wishing well by the castle)!
