Wedding Details
We tried to include as many eco-friendly and DIY details into our wedding as possible. A few of our favorites are below.
We wanted our accessories to be in keeping with our values and taste. We tried to incorporate as many family heirlooms as possible and added vintage, recycled and handmade touches.
We were committed to showing how beautiful eco-friendly vintage style can be, and wanted to have a wedding where nothing new had to be created. Peter wore clothing he already owned - including his favorite orange shoes - and Khaya and the bridal party all dressed in fabulous vintage gowns.
All of our flowers came from a nearby farm we found on Localharevst.org — everything was fresh, seasonal and organic. And gorgeous! (Thank you, Charlie — for going to pick them up; and thank you, Ella — for arranging them for us!)
