For more specific information, please refer to the recommended places to go listed below.
Kundasang, Sabah
The reason why most people visit Sabah. A highly recommended place to visit even if you don't plan to climb the mountain.
Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
It takes 10-25 minutes by speedboat to reach any one of these beautiful islands. Just as you step out of the boat, you will see exotically coloured fish swimming around your ankles in the clear sea water.
The ones that are usually visited are Pulau Manukan and Pulau Mamutik.
Great for snorkeling and bush walking!
Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Get your heart pumping during this exhilarating ride down the Padas River. A must-do for adventure lovers!
Off Semporna, Sabah
Featured in many international documentaries. One of the most famous scuba-diving destinations around the world.
Sandakan (Nat grew up here in Sandakan... not Sepilok), Sabah
Featured in Amazing Race. Beautiful scenery and you get to see orang-utans in their natural habitat.
The world's best zoo! Leanne went just this year (2007) and enjoyed herself immensely! Highly recommended if you plan to spend a few days in Sunny Singapore. Don't forget to bring an umbrella though! It rains a lot!
The first of its kind in the world! Again, a really enjoyable experience. Leanne liked this one more than the zoo. You get to look at the animals in their "native habitat" and without any barriers at all.
One of the first few places a person would go to in Singapore - Orchard Road. The shopping here is "out-of-this-world" and so is the number of people here. It's always bustling with shoppers and festivities!
The Singapore Discovery Centre just got a facelift! Supposed to be very very good. Check it out!
Fantastic place to learn more about the indian culture and buy colourful silk! The food in Little India is amazing too!
