Nathan and Sabrina both attended Michigan State University. They lived in the same dorm and met when Sabrina walked by his open door and popped her head in to introduce herself. They became friends and started dating later that year. Nathan graduated and got a job in California in the spring of 2004. They decided to try long-distance dating to see if it worked out, and nearly five years later Sabrina joined him in San Diego to attend law school.

Since we live in San Diego, and both of our families live in the Midwest, we decided to get married in Michigan at MSU's chapel. Planning an out of state wedding has been an interesting challenge and a lot of the vendors have been booked sight unseen. (but they come highly recommended, lol)
