Dan and I didn't exactly meet in 1983, the year I was born, but we have known each other for a while now and have gotten to know each other better over the past year or so. It was a natural decision to force...er..ask Dan to be the best man as he probably knows more about me than anyone else besides Rebecca. ~Nick
Michal Downing
Maid of Honor
Michal was the first one who heard that I was interested in Nick. :) She got a lot of phone calls from Mongolia during the summer of 2006. And being the sweet, caring sister-friend that she is, she called me while I was in Mongolia on her "free nights and weekends plan." We learned later that the plan actually didn't include calls to Asia... oops! ;o :D
Michal actually got to meet Nick the weekend before she flew to Africa in May 2007. And she just "happened" to call home on July 13th, the night that Nicholas proposed.
I am thrilled to have Michal stand by my side on my wedding day as my maid of honor.

In a word, stoic. Probably one of the most patient friends I have ever had. Adam and I spent the better part of two years together overseas in Outer Mongolia working for an orphan ministry. The fact that he came back for a second year speaks volumes of his unflappability. ~Nick

Noah is my older brother and one of my dearest friends. We were best playmates when we were younger. It was Noah who first inspired me to go to Mongolia to work with orphans. He has always challenged me to be the woman that God created me to be. He encouraged me to seek God first and wait on His timing. IT WORKED! I love you, Bub! ;-* And I'm excited to see what God continues to do in your life.
