As a news photographer in Brazil, Marcia was trained to capture the spirit of every moment. At the 1986 Rio Marathon, Marcia was in the “right place at the right time” as she captured an extraordinary shot of the runners’ faces beaming of hope, happiness, victory and anticipation.

The local newspaper printed her shot the next day with huge highlights crediting her name. This one photo was the start of many other incredible photos Marcia had published in the newspaper.

Someone from Brazil had seen her portfolio as a news photographer and hired Marcia to shoot their friend’s wedding. Marcia instantly fell in love with the gratification brought to her by capturing the joy of the bride and groom on their wedding day.

In 1999, she was recognized by peers in Hawaii as the “Professional Photographer of the Year” and honored with the prestigious Kodak Gallery Award.

Putting her personal touch and romantic style on each image, Marcia’s vibrant personality shines through her photographs. Having her name represent the company was the best way she could promise her brides that they will receive nothing but the best from her, and only her, as the photographer of their wedding.
