The best day of our lives!
May 24, 2008
We had an amazing time on our honeymoon. Here are just a small selection of the many photos we took.
We started our honeymoon by flying from Orlando - London and transferring from London - Rome. We then jumped on a small train to Roma Train Station - Chuisi Train Station in Tuscany. We had a car pick us up and drive through mountain roads to reach our Tuscan Spa Resort, The Adler. We spent 4 marvelous days there, and then had a driver pick us up and take us all through the Chianti Classico wine region. It was amazing! We then landed in Florence for one night and we roamed the city at night and say Michaelangelo’s David in the morning. From there it was a 2 ½ hour train ride to Venice and we entered into a world different from what we’ve ever seen before! The streets are made of water and the buses are boats! We could get lost on purpose here and enjoy every bit of it! Our trip ended with a last minute detour in London. Everything happens for a reason!
Here are some pictues of the two families that are becoming one!
We had a combined Bachelor and Bachelorette party in Miami on April 5th. Becca organized a fun dinner at Taverna Opa where we ate Greek food and danced on tables. Then our "Hummer Killer" (a F650 and a limo crossbreed) limo picked us up and took us to Las Olas Boulevard to party the night away... and that we did!
We got engaged on NYE 2007 at the House of Blues in Chicago. We were at a Matisyahu concert. At the stroke of midnight Lane dropped to one knee, balloons fell from the sky and he popped the question. It was the best night of my life! Here are photos from that trip.
We’ve been honored to have 3 great engagement parties thrown for us. One was a family only wine tasting where we chose wines to bottle. We then created custom labels and bottled the wine.
The other 2 included the family & out of towner "Pre-Party" and a big Caribbean themed carnival with great friends, food, music, and the special wine. Here are our memories.
These are our friends on the farm. They are all outside pets except for one. Take a guess!
