This photo was taken during our Junior-Senior Prom in IHMA (February 1993). Loel was in his usual makulit mood to the point na nakakaasar.. I have 2 more embarrassing photos of us that night, hanapin ko muna sa baul, hehe.. I still remember one of the songs we danced, "Heaven Knows" ( ni Rick Price).. Hay, kabaduyan ;p

I can't remember having this photo taken. Loel kept this copy (naks!).. We were both dark & thin. True-blue IHM-Angyan! Hehe..
This was after his high school graduation (March 1993) and i was officially accepted as a CAT officer. He bugged me to celebrate with him sa Nanay's Resto. I only agreed because we were with his barkada and i was with my high school bestfriend Pinky. Besides, gutom nako nun. :) Ang init at ang pagod mag tudlis during the grad ceremony. Sobrang takot ko may makakitang taga-Pola. Lagot kase kay mommy! :)
Right after that lunch, i told him to stop courting me as we were way too young. And he's too annoying really. Hmmmm.. i guess i just have to take back my words cause i started missing him that summer. ;) -
April 2003. After almost 10 years, we were brought back together one fateful night. Friendship and love blossomed the second time around. This photo was taken in our house in Bayanan. It was Holy Week and we were nearing 3 months as a couple. He insisted to visit me and introduce himself to mom. I was not yet ready to tell them the real score (and mom was not prepared to accept him just the same, haha). I only agreed to his visit if he will shave his head. The next day, he showed up bald & smiling, hehe.. I introduced her to mommy as an "old friend" :)
That summer was special to both us. It was then that we were able to resolve our differences. Maybe it helped that we went to hear mass that night and we were able to reminisce our memories 10 years back.. It was a happy journey. And it was then that we promised to marry one another if our relationship will survive till May 5, 2005. We did make it, but the wedding was pushed back to 2008 :) -
This was taken (08.25.03) as post-birthday celebration for Loel. We went dining over pizza and pasta with his childhood buddy Herman. Sorry bro, we have to cut your photo though, haha :)

Starbucks was our usual tambayan. It was over coffee that i discovered that Loel was a lot more than just being makulit and annoying.. Haha.. Sori be, yun lang kase yung memory ko sau nung hiskul. We could talk for hours about anything under the sun (until magclose na ang rob place). He is really funny and smart and spontaneous and patient.. I could go on and on.. I was never bored whenever im with him. :)

Birthday celebration ito ni Cheche sa Kuala Bay sa Cardona, Rizal (07.05.03). We were joined by our Del Carmen (college all-girls dorm) friends Lui (and JR), Mitzi (and Marvin). First time din magjoin ni Loel with my college friends puro taga-IHMA lang kase kilala nya. ;p
Come to think of it, of those couples i've mentioned break na cla lahat.. Haha.. Kami lang pala nag-survive.. :) -
This was taken august 13th in 2003, a day before Loel's bday. As an advance celebration, he dropped by to tag along with my sister & i for lunch out. By this time, legal na kami kay ate jing.. ;P He can freely visit me at the house or join us sa malling namin with my nephew Jarred. :)

As i've mentioned ok na si Loel kay ate (and mejo rin kay kuya). Kaya may playmate na si Jarred :) Our weekends were spent at home para magkwentuhan & magkulitan or at the mall for our coffee and movies. That would soon change after a couple of months when Loel decided to work abroad :(

this one naman was during our dinner with my IHMA family sometime in 2003.. umuwi ata nito si 'ta armz from Japan tapos nag-invite sya mag megamall? tama ba? ah i remember, nagmeet tayo nun sa shangri-la pero nag dinner tayo sa megamall haha.. pa-sosy pa! :P
we got mixed feedbacks from our old friends in high school. some were surprised to see Loel with us (akala nila napasabit lang kase hindi namin sya ka-batch, hehe). most of them were relieved na finally kami na (hmmm, bakit kaya? haha!).. but all of them naman were happy for us, db? :) -
Our first travel together was in May 2004.
Loel was then working in Malaysia but was sent to Bangkok to work on a project. We (along with my UST friends Raiza & Cel) planned to flew to Bangkok for a few days. After we booked our tickets, ate Jing decided to join us. A few days before our flight Mom asked Kuya Jerwin to join us din.. Ayan, ang dami na chaperone noh? :P
Few days during our stay, Mama Eva followed suit naman.. Hehe.. Ang saya! On a whim, we canceled our shopping in Pratunam and booked our flights to Singapore & a train ride to Malaysia. Yes, 3 countries in one day! Pang amazing race talaga!
Aside from a lot of fun, this trip served as bonding session na rin b/w my bro & Loel. I insisted that Loel joined Kuya as he took photos of the city. By the time we went back to Manila, ok na rin cla :)
P.S. Few days after we left Loel in Bangkok, he filed his resignation na.. Ang lungkot daw kase sobra. Especially after seeing me ciempre :)

September 2005. He came home for my 27th bday..
Things are going well between the two of us.. 2004 & 2005 were pretty easy.. Of course there were petty quarrels in between but we manage to fix them at the end of the day.
Loel went back to work overseas and i stayed working in Manila while struggling to finish my mba. Then came 3rd quarter of 2005 people noticed that i was rapidly losing weight. By the end of December, i was scheduled for a radioactive iodine treatment.. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and needs the treatment asap..
By losing weight, i mean just < 98 lbs which never happened since my hiskul days. Pretty alarming, really.. It was a wake-up call and a test to loel as i was very hard to handle with my rollercoaster tantrums that comes with my sickness. Im just glad he (and my family!) patiently took care of me all throughout this difficult stage :) -
December of 2005.
Probably to compensate for his absence during my sickness stage, loel again came home to visit me for the holidays. (Kaya wala kami savings eh, uwi kase ng uwi, hehe).. It turned out that this was no ordinary visit as he presented me with an engagement ring. Loel was never good in surprises, but he was able to pull this one off.. :)
And by the way, i did say yes! :) -
March 2006
I recovered well after the treatment. That's why i look better in this photo, haha.. Mejo nag-fade na kase skin rashes ko.. Loel promised to visit me every quarter. And he kept his promise naman. This one was during one of our dinners in Moomba with my cousins and friends.. :) -
July 2006
After my health scare in 2005, things between us even became better. Ganun ata talaga when you get sick. You realize you're getting older; hence, you take care of yourself better and deal with things in a more mature mannner. That's what happened to us. We grew into our relationship. Kaya less arguments na and more on our future plans. This photo was taken during his 2006 visit where his main purpose was to tell mom of our wedding plans. Ciempre hindi natuloy and talk nila ni momi kaya nagdinner na lang kami with my family. :)
P.S. Obviously, i gained back the pounds (and more!).. This time kase hypothyroid naman ako.. Ergo, i become heavier no matter how i control it.. Hay buhay.. :( -
