Stacy K Wedding Blog

Working in the industry for so many years I am very excited to get to plan our wedding. I am also psyched to have the opportunity to share it with my customers, family and friends. I am going to try to pace myself and not give you all the details at once to encourage everyone to stop back and see what new projects we have completed or where we are at in our planning process. I look forward to sharing and hope to inspire a few of you along the way.

Aisle Runner

The aisle runner was originally going to be a black runner with the design of the invitations hand painted on it in several spots.  Well some things don't always work as planned.  When we started the projects it just wasn't working out right so we had to start the thinking process all over. The final product is way better than I could have hoped and is truly unique as well. I have never seen anything like it.  Below is a sneak peak before it is completely finished but I LOVE...

Hotel Gift Bags

So I wanted to do something a bit different for the hotel gift bags (shocker) and here is what I came up with and it's actually a green project.  Here is the recipe: Wegman's paper grocery bags Paint, used chrome spray paint to hide the wegmans wording and then the house paint in the colors of the wedding. Shredded newspaper to fill the bottom whatever goodies you want to put inside, we are doing old fashioned soda, water, advil, some homemade snack, chocolate covered pretzels, and...

Rehearsal Dinner

Today we finally picked a place for the rehearsal....OMG we are so excited.  We placed a call to One Restaurant and Lounge and they have been extremely accommodating. Starting the first of may they will have an upstairs room complete with silver, black and lime green decor (all my favorite colors) with dance floor, large bar and dj booth as well as a covered outdoor patio.  They are allowing us to hold the dinner up there and pretty much have the upstairs to ourselves until 11:30...

Shower Details

The ladies hosted my shower last weekend at Good Luck and I didn't really get to hear about any of the details till I arrived.  The did everything in whites and vintage style. It was absolutely amazing and exactly the opposite of everything the wedding has to offer.  The food was wonderful, the turn out was great and the atmosphere was perfect.  I am such a lucky lady to have such awesome friends. Thanks to all who came!!

Wedding Band Shopping

I found my band last week and am so excited.  Bonnie at mann's jewelers helped me and made the experience so fun.  I have been looking for a while but she was the only person that ever got excited about me wanting something a bit different and out of the ordinary.  It's ordered and ready should be in mid april.  Below are the bands that eventually I will surround the wedding band with to wear for work so I don't destroy my weddig band.  I can't wait to wear them and...

Dresses are in!!

This week was a very productive week.  The girls dresses came in and I forgot how much I loved them.  The centerpiece stuff came in, just need to put the mechanics together until the floral can be applied.  Hired a planner to assist with the final details with vendors so I can focus on having fun, creating the flowers, and looking good :-)  Invitations went to print, ceremony is written and mapped out.....wow very productive week.  I can't wait till I can share all...
