Working in the industry for so many years I am very excited to get to plan our wedding. I am also psyched to have the opportunity to share it with my customers, family and friends. I am going to try to pace myself and not give you all the details at once to encourage everyone to stop back and see what new projects we have completed or where we are at in our planning process. I look forward to sharing and hope to inspire a few of you along the way.
Some of the ladies participating in the wedding got together last weekend to create some truly unique hair pieces for the wedding day. (sorry no pics you will see them soon enough) It was a wonderful time to watch people I love get all caught up in the fun of making something artistic. Ideas were flowing, designs started coming and by the end of the afternoon we had 8 completed pieces and the posibility to start a new business venture. Everyone did such a great job I would buy...
So on my recent trip to San Diego I saw this sculpture....I took probably 30 pictures of it because I loved it so much. It was called "Lean on me" and was about 20' tall each of the colored pieces was made out of glass. I just wanted to share this unique interpretation of something we all do everyday with all of you.
So I wanted a unique way to serve the past appetizers for the wedding and here is the idea have came up with. I bought frames on clearance at a local craft store, painted them gold or silver, inserted a backer board in them and then lined them with a unique paper to place the food on. Instead of boring old serving trays the staff will carry these while passing the appetizers to the guests. Do you like it, hate it, or love it? Feel free to respond. Pictures coming...
The chair .....one creative after noon with a good friend (Tammy Swales), an ugly chair, and lots of paint, "The chair" is almost complete. Now the chair started as a project for some photo opps but it ended up getting put on pause for the wedding, I am such a thief. I can't tell you what we are doing with the chair but I can tell you it's an inspiration to many other wedding DIY project. It's not nearly completed but OH man when it is it's going to ROCK!!
We finally got all the save the dates out. So hopefully everyone should have their save the date soon. For those who have already gotten them, we are super excited they have been such a huge hit. Tammy Swales (www.tammyswales.com) took a ton of great photo's of us during the engagements sessions and it was so hard for us to choose but the final product was everything we could have ever wanted. It was a 5X5 fold out with the large picture being the whole inside image...
