We'd love to keep everyone involved and up-to-date on the progress of our wedding planning. So please check back once in a while for updates..:)
January 11, 2010
FINALLY, we are married! It's been more than a month since we last updated this WEDsite.. So many things to update! ahaha!!
Now we'll be sharing more deets on our wedding.. and we're starting with our wedding dance!:) We had our DJ from Josiah's make us a song mix, and we just love it!:)
We did the dance steps ourselves, with a LOT of help from Youtube (haha!) and some help from Jans' youngest sister, Joymari (thanks sis!).. We practiced up to the last minute but still looked funny on stage.. ahaha!! Nevertheless, we sure had a blast being foolish! hehe!
Listen to Our Wedding Dance! Cool, huh?.;)

Yesterday, we went to Plaza Singapura to pick up our orders for our parents.. and I have to be honest, we were really disappointed with the items! And to make it worse, the seller's not the most accommodating and customer-oriented supplier!:( I got really really sad and irked about it..
Luckily, today when we called to inform them that we want to have it redone, we got a positive feedback! haha! They are now willing to have it redone, and at the same time allowing us to keep the old items first (just in case the new items are worse! Eeek!). I sure hope the new ones are better than the current items..:)
We also bought coloring books and sketch pads for the kiddie corner last night! I think we'll be buying the crayons in PH na, where it's a lot cheaper.. i hope!;) ahaha!!
November 23, 2009
Finally, after the nth layout proposal, we now have our photo layout and backdrop for our photobooth! ahahaha!!! We just LOVE it!! Thanks so much to Mr. Paul Siochi for accommodating all our requests! ahaha!!
We're really super, mega, uber excited with this!:) I sure hope our guests would have fun and love them too!;)
Here's our backdrop from Partypics...:)
November 5, 2009
Finally, our invitations were delivered to our families in PH!:) We can't wait to see the actual invites here in SG.. Hopefully Anthony's family can mail them soon!:) The maps and labels we sent were also received. Distribution to follow, hopefully finished by mid-November..:)
End of Oct - November, 2009
My girls are having their 1st fitting already! I think some already took their gowns home with them.. There are still others who haven't had their fitting, but hopefully they will soon.. (hint hint girls!;) haha!)
Love the colors and design we chose!:) Just have a little problem with my MOH's gown.. But hoping it'll be resolved soon!:)
XOXO!
Aug 8-16, 2009
We just had sooooooo much to do during our 9-day visit to PH.. it was very tiring, but at the same time, helped us shorten our list of to-dos before D-day..:)
As I'm sure you can guess, it's a looong blog to tell you guys all about it.. so i posted it here.
'Til the next update!;)
July 18, 2009
Those people who know about my recent dilemma regarding my wedding gown would know how "down" and unenthusiastic I was with it.. Even with the whole wedding preps, I lost interest for a while, because of this..
Then June 22, I was happy to report that we were back on track.. We were able to finally book a couturier, and we were happy with his design..
But this was soooo far from the excitement and happiness I felt when I had my 1st fitting!!!! WOW!!! Ganun pala feeling nun?? ehehe!! it was a different kind of "high".. Ahaha!! I was already enjoying every step of our wedding preps.. But this was something entirely different... this time I really FELT like a BRIDE!:)
More pics posted in our Photo Galleries, under Jans' 1st Gown Fitting! courtesy of Jans' mom..:)
July 18, 2009
I will be doing 2 posts for this ONE DAY trip!;) In less than 10 hours, Janice was able to meet with 4 suppliers! It was very tiring.. but very much worth it!!
Her first stop was with our couturier, Jorge Palmos. This we will share on the next post!;)
Next stop was with Wally Gonzales, to supposedly pick up our Guestbook Album and Prenup framed picture.. However, due to some miscommunication, she was not able to get it.. We'll just come back on August for it..:)
Next stop was with Tita Juliet, who's making our female entou gowns. She was able to bring her cousin (one of the BMs) for her measurements..
Then, she met with Trina of Village Pro'jeKt at UCC in Trinoma.. They had a wonderful time exchanging ideas for our invites.. We're really super excited about the output..;) She also already paid part of the DP..:)
Again, for Janice's 1st gown fitting experience, read the next post..;)
June 22, 2009
It has been a while since we have updated this site. We experienced several "bumps" along the way, which made me (Janice) a little down on the preps for a while there.. I have been blogging some stuff on my other blog site though..
BUT, finally we're back on track!:) After a very "bumpy" journey to find the right couturier for my bridal gown, the journey has ended!:) Today we have received confirmation from Ms. Olie Palmos that they already got our DP. FINALLY, I have a gown! Hahaha!!
And the best part is that I can do my first fitting already this July 18! Can't wait!!;)
June 4, 2009
After our prenup shoot with Wally Gonzales, we really got excited to see how our album would turn out. Today, we received an email from Arlene of the proposed layouts for the album for our approval.. and all we can say is: WOW!!! It is simply beautiful! After just a few minor revision requests here and there, it was PERFECT! We can't wait for everyone to see ALL the pages! But for a sneak peek, you can see a few pages here.
Nice, eh?;)

Highlights of this day was finally meeting our AE for Josiah's Catering, Maui and getting the unedited copies of our pictures from Wally Gonzales!:)
Our day started with us going to our dentist. Then, we went to Fernwood for our food tasting with Josiah's. Maui also discussed with us our set up options, and designs, etc. Then we also saw Sharon to pay for our bridal car and dance floor panels.
Then we went back to Tita Juliet's house to pick swatches for our girls' gowns. Also paid our DP.
Then we went to Ortigas to check some hotel rooms. Then we went to Wally G.'s office to pick up the CD and the new contract. Then, had dinner and went to get some groceries at Greenbelt area...:)
Again, read the full story here.
** On the picture: Maui and Janice
May 1, 2009
Major highlight of this day was Anthony's Pamamanhikan. But instead of his family going to Janice's house, the two families had lunch at Hula Hula Seafood & BBQ Restaurant in Westgate, Alabang.
Aside from this, we also went to have Janice's measurements taken for her bridal gown, met with 2 principal sponsors, and met with Paul Vincent and paid our balance DP.:)
Again, for a more detailed blog, read here.
To see pictures from our lunch date, you may check it out here.
April 30, 2009
Our only day with a light sched...:) Janice had a trial hair and make up at Leo Priagola's Salon, and then we had our first official engagement shoot with Wally Gonzales in Fernbrook Gardens!:) We had SO MUCH fun during the shoot!
To read more, click here.
More pictures of the trial hair and make up, here.
Just SOME of the pictures from our shoot with Wally Gonzales, here (of course the rest you'll see at our wedding..;)).
April 29, 2009
We arrived in PH for a 4-day wedding prep. We have so many things to do, which Janice listed here.
So as soon as we arrived in Manila, we went to Divisoria for so shopping. We were not able to buy much, just a bridal gown for our TTD shoot with Paul Vincent, but we did get to more or less canvass other stuff for our DIYs.
Then, we went to Events Manila, to meet our OTD coordinators. We discuss a lot of details about our wedding day. We had a lot of things we need to settle, which Rose (Coord) took note of so that we can finish it later.
Then, we went to have the girls' measurements taken for their gowns. Pictures of our visit at Tita Juliet's house can be seen here.
For a more details day 1, you can read here.
April 10, 2009
We had our first (free) engagement shoot at Siloso Beach, Sentosa. We were able to ask our friends, who were photo hobbyists, to do a "freenup" for us.. Parang practice na rin namin for our engagement shoot with Wally Gonzales on April 30!:) ehehe!!
Read more about our freenup experience on my Blog Site.:)
March 31, 2009
After checking out several sites... Thinking of several ideas... Downloading several fonts and pictures... We've actually started to try creating our monogram..;) FINALLY!;)
We were able to make a few today, some are posted here. But so far, this is the one we like best.:) This will be in almost everything in our wedding: invitations, menu, programs, missalettes, thank you cards, etc...:)
Now we'll be working on our "initials-only" monogram..;)
March 16, 2009
We remembered that Fernwood (our venue) also offers car rentals. So Janice chatted with Sharon (our AE) and asked about their rates and availability. Good thing the car Anthony wanted is still available on the D-day! After haggling for a while (not much success there though *sigh*), we asked Sharon to reserve the car for us. So guys, the car is definitely nice, so prepare your cameras for a possible photo opp. with it..;) Again, surprise muna with the details..;)
We still haven't decided if we want to have dancing after the wedding program yet, but, nevertheless, we reserved 4 dance floor panels already... at least to use as a stage for the program..;)
March 12, 2009
So happy we were able to buy our gifts for all the ladies who will be part of our wedding party already! Now we just need to find a nice packaging for it!;) Hope Janice's girls will like it!:)
March 10, 2009
I remember this line from the Mighty Ducks movie.. ahaha!! Well, what recently happened was something we'd rather move on with and forget about.. ehehe!
Due to some unforeseen (and better left unsaid) events, we needed to do a little change in our DREAM TEAM.. We'll admit we got really flustered about it at first.. But (thank God!) we were able to come out of it in a much better shape than before!:) well.. maybe NOT financially.. AHAHAHA!!
But, we're still very grateful to Him once again for helping us out!:)
March 7, 2009
Since our AE (Maui) is back, we already scheduled our food tasting with Josiah's. It's set on May 2! We specifically asked to have it on our last day in Phils. because we don't want to look all bloated in our prenup pictures with Wally G.! ahaha!!
With so many mouth-watering dishes to choose from, it was definitely hard to pick which combination we want for the wedding! ahaha!! Of course, we are not telling you the menu just yet. We'll keep it as a surprise for now..;)
March 2, 2009
Yes, finally the LOOOONG search is over!!!:) After inquiring with so many wedding coordinators... being turned down by some (yes, we admit it wasn't our 1st choice)... disappointed with others... we finally found the team that fits us perfectly: Events Manila- the Special Occasions Co.!
We have already paid the DP, but even before we are able to email the copy of the deposit slip to them, they already gave us a list of questions, which will help them have an idea of how far our preps have gone.. well, based on our answers, we'd say not very far... ehehe!;)
Can't wait for our initial meeting this May!:)
March 2, 2009
We have heard so many raves about her in W@W. And since we know that December is peak season for events (and not just wedding events), as early as February 12, we've already sent her an email inquiring about her rates and availability.:)
And then just when we were about to deposit our DP today, our godsend AE from Josiah's Catering came back from her maternity leave! Part of our package with Josiah's is an Emcee. And when we told her about our inquiries with Missy, Maui (our AE) immediately worked on booking Missy for us!
Super thank you Maui!! You're simply the BEST!!!:D
March 2, 2009
Well, the original plan was to get Paul Vincent as back up photographer for our wedding. However, when we consulted our main photographer about this, he preferred we don't get another group for our wedding. Of course, we respect his professional experience and know that he knows what's best for us.:)
But we really want Paul Vincent to be part of our Dream Team. And so, we decided to have him do our pre/post nuptial shoot!:) We just can't wait for the shoot! We'll definitely share with you our pics, so do come back and visit our site again!:)
February 15, 2009
We met with 15-58 Flowers & Styles at Starbucks in Alabang around lunch time. The meeting lasted for like 30 mins., where Rommel showed us the different flower designs they have. We already discussed with him what we want for the chapel of Fernwood, and exchanged ideas on the types of flowers we could use. We also picked out our bouquets and boutonnières for the wedding. He gave us lots of freebies and discounts!;) We paid the reservation fee on the spot to save the date and lock in his price.:)
We only need to meet him 2 more times before the wedding to discuss the exact details. We are still trying to decide whether we want teddy bears for our flower girls or not..;) ahaha!!
February 14, 2009
2nd day of our PH-visit, we met our second couturier. To be completely honest about it, we were REALLY excited to meet him right from the start. We've heard so much about him, both from fellow W@Wies and Janice's personal friends.
Pros:
1. He made TWO designs for Janice's gown. And we LOVE both designs.
2. His shop is just near where Janice lives, so fittings/meetings will not be a problem.
3. He incorporated some of his ideas for Janice's gown, withOUT compromising what Janice wants. He made suggestions and gave honest opinion of whether something would look nice or not when added.
4. He let us bring home his sketches! So we can share the other one we're NOT choosing with you guys! Of course, Janice's pick will be a surprise!;)
5. He is very easy to talk to. Kahit sikat sya, he's not intimidating.
6. He supports W@Wies!!
7. And like we mentioned earlier, we've heard so many good reviews about him, that we're 100% sure his work will be great!
Cons:
1. His quotation for our attire is a bit OVER our budget.:( Pero slight lang naman...;)
2. Though his design for Anthony's suit is super nice and unique, we are a little uncertain if it fits Anthony's personality, hence would look good on him. BUT, since nothing is FINAL yet, we're sure that he'd be willing to design something else for Anthony should we want one..:)
We're really leaning more towards this couturier at the moment.. but we'll see...;)
February 13, 2009
Had our first meeting with a couturier. And here are our comments..
Pros:
1. We both liked the sketch she did for the bride's gown.
2. Her quotation is very reasonable and within our budget for both attires.
3. From the gowns she had on her shop, we could see that pulido naman ang gawa nya.
4. Her package comes with FREE rental of wedding gown for prenup shoot!
5. She seems nice enough. Very accommodating and available, especially in YM which is important for an overseas couple like us.
6. She was very accommodating in terms of what Janice wants for her gown, putting every aspect she wanted, but at the same time giving her own opinion if there are items that she felt wouldn't look nice.
Cons:
1. We are uncertain about the groom's suit.
2. The location of her shop is TOO FAR from where Janice lives. Hence, very tiring and impractical for the fittings.
Overall, we liked her. Anthony is even willing to book her on the spot, but we do have a meeting with another supplier that we wanted to check out first before committing to anything. So, we'll see....:)
February 7, 2009
Finally, I was able to meet fellow bride-to-bes here in SG!:) We met in Vivo City. Was able to learn a LOT from them. It's always a pleasure to gain new friends. I am SO looking forward to the next gathering of W@WSG!
And here's the W@W Happy Happy Calendar I got pa!.. Pretty neat, huh?:)
I will be posting our pictures in our Photo Galleries page as soon as I get the ones from the other w@wies. I'll also try to take picture of each month dun sa calendar.:) So do check our Photo Galleries soon!:)
February 6, 2009
We went to the Wedding Expo in Suntec City just to check what they had to offer. As soon as we entered the event area, we were stopped by the PR guy of one of the booths/suppliers there. We were really impressed with the pictures they take, and was REALLY tempted to get a prenup package with them. However, we know that we have a budget, and this is something that is NOT in our budget.
White Link gave us a very GOOD package for a LOT of things. We paid for DP for "something", but we still don't know what it'll be (like I said we had several options). We just took it to save all the freebies and package they were offering us. *Sigh* We hope we'd get lucky and be able to afford the Photo shoot package, cause we REALLY want it!:)
February 5, 2009
We contacted Nadia of PartyPics via email. She has already (pencil) booked us for one photo booth. We haven't confirmed our booking yet and paid for DP, since we are waiting for their promos this coming March during the Wedding Expo.:) We're hoping we'd get freebies and discounts once we book them on March.;) We're really excited about having a photo booth on our wedding. We're sure our guests will love it!:)
February 4, 2009
Janice have created several different STDs in Photoshop and ScrapBlog. So far, this is the one we like best. You may find the other design on our Photo Galleries page, under DIY Save The Dates album. Still trying to create one that's just PERFECT for us..:)
January 20, 2009
Janice has always loved the color BLUE. And of course, that's also Anthony's favorite color. So obviously the first color they want for their color motif is blue, specifically Sapphire Blue.
But then, looking at a LOT of wedding pictures and sites.. Now Janice is confused on which color combination to pick! Hahaha!
But for now, here's one of their inspirations.
January 16, 2009
Janice joined W@W last Nov. 25. She didn't really post topics or replied to any emails. Although there were times that she really wanted to. She was shy too post at first. Then she saw a post about all SG bride-to-bes, and she couldn't resist but join the email thread. Then she learned that there is also a W@WSG group made specifically for soon-to-weds based in Singapore. Now, she's a member of this egroup too!:)
January 16, 2009
After several consultations from the caterers, researches from the inet, advice from friends and discussions... ehehe... (yes, we've thought about it a LOT of times before deciding..) We've finally picked our caterer: Josiah's Catering.
We really wanted to pick the BEST, because we want our guests to enjoy our wedding as well. And of course, what better way to ensure it than to serve good food!:) And we are 100% sure that Josiah's will take care of our guests. Not to mention ensure that the place would look great too!
Anthony's brother Kuya Mike met today with Josiah's to pay the initial DP. Just so we can already lock in the package price and date of our wedding.:)
January 4, 2009
Bel-Air, Makati
Our initial plan was to just check out several photographers. But when we were in the area already, where we thought are their offices (which was just near Fernwood), they were all closed!!.. Good thing one photographer had a cellphone number on their signage, we called to ask if they were open. And guess what?!.. Closed nga!.. ahaha!
BUT, Arlene was kind enough to accommodate us, even on short notice, and on a SUNDAY nonetheless!..:) She opened their office in Bel-Air and waited for us to arrive and INQUIRE about their services...
To cut it short, let's just say we left the place with contract in hand..;) I guess that says it all!...:D
January 4, 2009
Mt. Carmel Church
We went to Mt. Carmel Church in Q.C. to reserve one of the 3 afternoon time slots they have for St. Francis Chapel. We were able to set the time for our wedding ceremony. They also gave us the church's requirements. The list was kinda long, YIKES!..;)
January 2, 2009
Fernwood Gardens
After the (cup)cake tasting, we visited Fernwood again. This time to finally book the venue and reserve a date for our wedding. Finally, we have a date: December 18, 2009!!!:) We booked the Coral Tree Garden (actually our first choice was already taken, but it's fine.. We're hoping it becomes available though.;) hihi!).
We were also able to do a food tasting with accredited 2 caterers today: Josiah's Catering and Center Table Catering.:) These 2 are our top choices for caterers. All the food served were delicious... but since we also just came from a lunch date with some friends (not too mention the yummy cupcakes from Penny), we didn't get to eat much of the food. Sayang! Ha ha ha!:) Bawi na lang kami sa FINAL food tasting!..;)
Please visit our Photo Galleries page for more pictures we took during our visit.
January 2, 2009
The Wedding Library, SM Megamall
We met with Penny of The Pastry Studio at The Wedding Library inside SM Megamall. We had a good time chatting with her. She was very nice and accommodating. We tried 4 of her cupcakes, and they were delicious!.. Our only concern then was that part of the wedding packages of most caterers include a 3-layer wedding cake. Good thing she also supplies cakes for the accredited caterers of Fernwood.:) She said we can request from the caterers to get the cake(s) from her.;)
December 28, 2008
Quezon City
This has been a looong day for us both. Right after our Christmas party in Bulacan, we went straight to Fernwood Gardens in Quezon City to check out the place too. I think we loved the "feel" of Fernwood more than Fernbrook. So we decided to come back at a later date for the actual booking and initial food tasting.:)
December 27, 2008
Portofino, Muntinlupa
We wanted to look at the place to ensure that it's as enchanting as it looks in their website. You see, I (Janice) fell in love-at-first-sight with Fernwood Gardens during a close friend's wedding years back. So, learning that there was a new franchise in the SOUTH are (where I live), was like a dream come true.
However... sad to say that it fell a little short of my expectation.. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely GRAND!.. And Anthony liked it. However, like I said, I fell in love with Fernwood that I think I expected too much from Fernbrook. I wanted more of the "garden" feel. Plus, I couldn't help but notice that the place was still not completely finished. The gondola boat ride I was REALLY excited about was not there yet.:( But I'm sure once the place is 100% done, it'll be enchanting...:)
November 25, 2008
We learned about the W@W community thru our friend Anna, who is also getting married. W@W is an online community especially made for soon-to-weds & newlyweds as a venue to exchange ideas and experiences with others planning for their BIG day. It has really been helpful for us, especially since we're both overseas. Being a member of this group has definitely made our wedding preparations easier and more enjoyable!:)
