With our invitations going out soon, I expect more people to be popping by the webpage over the next few months. I bid you welcome and I hope that our page has proven informative and enjoyable for you :)
I've been writing in this little blog for a year now, which is incredible to me. We are now less than 3 months away from the wedding itself and so much has been done. I've had to go through and delete some entries, to protect the surprise of the day. When planning, you want to share everything with everyone. Now that we're much closer, I've decided to tone things down a bit to make the big day that much more exciting for those in attendance.
Most of the big stuff is out of the way now, in terms of planning. It's all the little details and the DIY elements that need to get started now.
On top of wedding planning, Pat and I are in the process of fixing up and selling our townhouse so that we can move in with my Mum in Orleans. The plan is to move me first, in the next week or two, with the animals and then have Pat move once we've sold.
I'm also still job hunting, Pat is working full time now in his new job, and I'm still without a car. I had a bad car accident in January, which totaled my Volvo.
I'm alright, though I am working through some back and neck pain as a result. Overall, we're very busy and doing our best to get everything done on schedule.
Before signing off, I would like to make a few notes concerning wedding news:
1. The Baldachin is now completely booked. There are plenty of rooms available at both the Howard Johnson and the Best Western. There is also a large selection of Bed and Breakfasts in Merrickville that are within walking distance of our venue. For more information, please check out our Accommodations Page. For those who are staying at the Howard Johnson or the Best Western, there are two cab companies that serve the area and are able to take you from the Baldachin to your hotel at any time.
