We were relaxing one night in April. Patrick and I were sharing a few glasses of Sangria, and talking about life, family, and the like. It was one of the more intense conversations we had shared.

Our talk progressed, and Patrick said "I want to spend my life with you, you know." I replied that I knew, but we would make that step when we were ready.

"I am ready, Liz." Like an idiot, I asked if he was serious.

He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I asked him if he was sure, even though on the inside I knew he was, and I was so excited. He said that he had never been more sure of anything in his life. I said yes, and we kissed.
