Hi! Peter and Sara here, providing you with directions for your drive from LAX (most likely) into Santa Barbara! First of all, it is a BEAUTIFUL drive capturing mountain and ocean views! One of our favorite things to do is stop for fresh crab along the way at the very end of the pier in Santa Barbara at the "Santa Barbara Shellfish Company". Okay from LAX, here are the directions to Santa Barbara and then on to El Capitan Canyon.
Take the 405 North Freeway towards Santa Monica
Merge onto the 101 North Freeway towards Ventura
Follow this until you get to the El Capitan State Beach Exit #117
Turn Right into El Capitan Canyon Resort (you will see a sign)
**the drive is just at 2 hours.

**Also, Santa Barbara does have an airport, it is generally expensive to fly into, but check the rates, you never know!
