The mehndi ceremony is one of the most important pre-wedding rituals. It is a fun night of henna, eating, dancing, and chatting with close female friends, family members, and children! The ritual of mehndi signifies the strength and power of love in a marriage, and it is a good omen for the bride-to-be. It is said that the longer the bride wears the mehndi, the more auspicious her future will be.
