After weeks of planning and coordinating, we had our engagement pictures taken on September 13th at 5:30 pm. We could not be more happy with the way they turned out, and we had a blast! I thought it would be a little awkward at first, but Randy was such a natural. The photographers made it so comfortable and easy to just be ourselves. Randy wore a flannel shirt, jeans, and boots, and I wore a blue dress and wedges, and a white dress and boots. It was so "us". I ordered a banner from Etsy (if you haven't been on Etsy, be prepared to get addicted!) that said "I pick you". This went well with our country theme, and basket of apples. The basket was made by the Amish, and the quilt we laid on was made by my great grandmother. We had a beautiful black, brown, and white Paint horse that really made the shoot come to life. Glass Jar photography out of Huntsville were the photographers we chose. I knew them from college, and totally fell in love with their vintage/ magical style. Our pictures truly look like they came from a story book. The shoot took place behind the actual wedding venue, the Riverbend Event Center and Equestrian Horsefarm. It had a beautiful old stone wall all the way around it, a gorgeous cotton field, and a quiet stream running behind it. The location could not have been more perfect. BUT- we decided to save the best features for the actual wedding day! I have included a list of all the vendors we used for this shoot, even down to where I got my outfits!
