Randy & I met in 1998 while I was bartendng in Hoboken during college. He became a regular customer of mine for years and we became friendly. I had a crush on him for years but the timing was never right. Then in early 2003 we were both single and began spending more time together. We quickly became closer friends and our romance took off from there.
I was packaging up some items to mail out one evening and Randy offered to help. I told him not to worry I had it under to control. He insisited he help so I gave him something to package up and went to take a shower. Upon returning from the shower, I found the box unfinished. The box was still half open and the address label wasn't affixed. I asked him what was going on and Randy said he thought he packed up the wrong item. He mentioned that I should double check what he had done so there would be no errors. Angrily, I went to take a look and discovered that it appeared to be the wrong item. After a long sigh, I turned the box over and out came half of the packaging. Soon enough the packing peanuts and bubble wrap were spilled all over my living room floor. Then I took a closer look at the wrapping. Inside all of the bubble wrap was a jewelery box. When I took it out Randy got down on one knee and proposed. It was a sweet, romantic surprise and I said yes!
