If you looked hard enough, under all of the Ray Lewis hype, there was an actual football game played last week. Anquan Boldin was a magician, especially in the third quarter, with some outstanding grabs on deep tosses along the sideline. Boldin finished with 145 yards on five receptions and scored the final touchdown in the forth quarter that put the game away for Baltimore. Both offenses had success with the Colts totaling 414 yards of offense compared to the Ravens 441. Both teams finished with two turnovers. Ray Lewis made 13 tackles (and dropped one of the easiest interceptions you will ever see) and became the show as the game ended doing dances and victory laps. Ravens linebacker Dannell Ellerbe sprained an ankle and left the game.

The Denver Broncos are one of the favorites to make it to the Super Bowl and have been on fire at the end of the season, including a 34-17 win on the road against the Ravens on December 16. The issue with this game for the Ravens is just keeping up with the Broncos high powered offense. Only three times this year (all on the road) have the Broncos not managed to put at least 30 points on the board. The Ravens however have failed to get to just 20 points six times this season. The traditional Raven way of winning is from the defensive side and they just don’t have the guns any longer to do that. The passing defense of Baltimore is just average and the rushing defense gives up over 120 yards a game. Payton Manning and company are going to do a number on Ray Lewis and the Ravens to make this game the most lopsided of the weekend. The Ray Lewis era ends, it’s a blowout in Denver and we are on the Broncos.
