1. Hire the World’s Best Wedding Planner
“My planner, Steve Kemble, has literally done all of the heavy lifting and this wedding would not be happening as fabulously without him,” says Locken. “When Rich and I decided to start planning our wedding, we both genuinely were thinking of a small and intimate gathering with very few people. Just simple and sweet like our relationship. It was our friends who refused to let us do anything small. They wanted a grand celebration and that only made us feel more loved than we knew was possible.”
Find a planner who will understand your relationship and personal style. You can browse through hundreds of wedding planners from across the country here.
2. Send One-of-a-Kind Invites
“The wedding invitations were completely put together by a friend who wanted to get the good news out right away.”
3. Commit to Sparkle Motion
“When it comes to color scheme, I wanted to keep things metallic. Gold, silver and black with an emphasis on the gold. If it sparkles, it should be there!”
Balloons are an easy way to add a touch of metallic magnificence to any event.

4. Dress to Impress
“My first appointment with my wedding dress designer, Nardos of Dallas, I had no idea what I wanted. The best part about having my friends in all walks of life is that you can trust them to do what they are known for. The 3D back of the dress is going to be stunning.”
Locken, who created the L’Infinity dress that can be worn 175 ways, isn’t revealing her gown just yet (only the sketch!), but we imagine this David’s Bridal gown with a 3D statement back might be similar.

5. Just for Fun, Switch It Up
“When it comes to my reception outfit, the Gemini in me is ready to shine. As traditional as I want the church to be, I want the reception to be off the chain FUN! You will have to wait and see what that means to me. I’m so grateful to be having one of my dearest friends and an incredible designer, Ese Azenabor, making the most amazing reception outfit ever.”
6. Cut Into a Colossal Cake
Locken says that when it comes to the cake, “Think BIG! Grand and glorious. I am talking about feet, not inches – LOL!”

7. Get Registered
As it turns out, LeeAnne and Rich are not the only couple in their circle getting married in April: “Our first gift, from our friends who are getting married seven days before us, was a knife and cake set engraved with our date and names.”
If it’s not already on your registry, a personalized cake knife and server set is always a delightful, sentimental gift.
