Ryan and Theresa met at Watkins College of Art, Design and Film. When Theresa auditioned for Ryan, her southern dialect won him over immediately. Ryan says that he thought he had met a nice southern belle. Then Ryan put Theresa in his short film "Look" that was shot on the Red One 4K and won awards in the 2009 Accolade Competition as well as in the 2011 Best Shorts Competition. Theresa and Ryan share a love of fine dining, film, classical music, the beach and travel.
Ryan proposed on a private beach on a sunny day while there wasn't a single cloud on the horizon. Ryan proposed in the ocean of Ormond Beach, FL by pretending that he had found a very interesting shell and he really wanted to show it to Theresa. She was completely shocked so she went with her gut reaction to leap towards him with a great big "YES!" and a huge grin.
Theresa is a freelance writer for AOL Seed while she also is certified substitute teacher. She earned an undergraduate degree in History from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fl. She is the daughter of Dr. William Meeker MD and Judith Meeker. Theresa is excited to be attending Vanderbilt Peabody College of Education for a Master of Education in Elementary Education with the Dean's Tuition Scholarship and the Alice Hagar Elementary Education Scholarship in the fall of 2011.
