"The goal in marriage is not to think alike, but to think together...." - Robert C. Dodds
HE had an overseas scholarship, but later decided to settle for a local education and SHE, almost went to Australia for her studies...
When they first met in school (Nanyang Technological University), Charlene had just entered her undergraduate life from polytechnic and Ryan, just completed his National Service (NS). Other than the occasional chat, sparks did not fly and neither of them had expected anything life-changing to blossom. But as they say, opposites do attract.
In school, he was the studious, smart, serious and hard-working student, while she was the inattentive, lazy and happy-go-lucky student. At work, he is the down-to-earth and disciplined officer while she is the organized and enterprising one. Back at home, he is the filial and obedient son while she is the attentive but rebellious daughter. In relationship, he is the unromantic one while she is always full of surprises. During personal time, she enjoys drinking and chilling out with friends while he prefers to stay at home to finish up the unfinished. He enjoys jogging along the road while she prefers the gym. He loves the witty, street-smart, attentive, sensitive personality and meticulous, perfectionist nature of hers. She loves the gallant, down-to-earth, prudent, decent, gentle, humorous and caring side of him. They found (and grew to love) in each other what they both were not.

Since proposal, plans were sketched out, goals were set, a commitment was made. And now, they are about to kickstart a lifetime of happiness.
