There are endless hikes in the Denver area. We have a few favorites that we have listed below.
Matthews Winter Park:
Take exit 259 off of I-70 W. Take a left of the exit and in about a half mile, you will see an entrance to the Matthews-Winters park on your right. There are trail maps in the park that you can follow for the length you desire.
Lair O'the Bear Park:
Take the Morrison Rd exit off of I-70 W. Take a left into downtown Morrison. You will find the park approximately four miles west of Morrison along Colorado Highway 74. The parking area is located on the south side of the highway. Also, if you continue up Highway 74 past the park, you will wind up in Evergreen!
Biking:
Pick up a bike at one of 30 Denver B-Cycle stations downtown. Denver offers 850 miles of off street bike trails to pedal--one of the largest urban bike netwoks in America.
Morrison, Colorado
Check the concert lineup or just go take a walking tour of this gorgeous natural venue with 300 foot high red sandstone boulders. There are hikes surrounding this area which are beautiful!

16th Street & the Nearby Cherry Creek District

This mile long pedestrian promenade is lined with flower baskets, shops and 28 outdoor cafes. It's the perfect people watching spot in Denver!
Cherry Creek Shopping District has nearly 500 department stores, boutiques, are galleries, and one of a kind stores for every type of shopper.

The Denver Zoo is the fourth most popular zoo in the nation with more than 4,000 animals. It's fun for all ages--we went there for one of our anniversaries!

Explore the world of dinosaurs, many of which roamed the Denver area. This is a fun place for families! Or, you can visit the amazing Denver Art Museum to take a peek at some incredible art.
Colorado Springs, Colorado
This is one of the great natural wonders of Colorado. Take a drive down to Colorado Springs and see the beautiful stone formations in the park. Take I-25 S to exit 146-Garden of the Gods. Go west and take a left on 30th St. You will Garden of Gods on your right, and the Visitors Center on the left!
While you're down there, drop into historic Manitou Springs. Kristi lived there for the past 4 years and loves this town! Drink a margarita with chips and salsa at the Loop (one of Kristi's past employers) and shop at the boutiques in town.
