Our Story
Her Story
Sarah was born in Manila, Philippines and raised by her mother Dorothy in California. She has one brother John and lots of wonderful cousins....all in California.
Sarah is a taurus.
She graduated from Cal-Poly, Pomona; then taught junior high for 1 year. She then attended medical school at NYCOM; then internal medicine residency.
His Story
Jonas was born in Sweden and raised in Florida by his parents Lars and Jean. He has a sister, Marie...and also has lots of wonderful cousins in Florida.
Jonas is also a taurus.
He attended University of South Florida and medical school at Ross University and then surgery residency.
How they met....
The story begins on B4 at Newark Beth Israel Medical center...Sarah was doing a surgery rotation for 1 month and the 1st surgery intern she came across was Jonas. She asked him "where are we rounding?..i'm starting my rotation on monday" and Jonas smiled and said B4.
During the month the two worked side by side not knowing they would be starting a beautiful life together. They rounded every morning and afternoon, discussed their work but never their personal lives.
After the rotation ended Jonas called Sarah and asked her to go shopping in the city with him, because he needed a "girl's opinion". They went to the city and walked around Soho, then had lunch.
They were still just friends. They weren't able to go on an actual evening date for a while because they were so busy working.
But their first date eventually happened....which led to a couple more dates..then the first Kiss;
After the first kiss, Sarah knew Jonas was the man of her dreams....
the Proposal...
Jonas proposed in front of the Jefferson monument on the Potomac River in Washington, D.C..he got down on one knee and proposed in Tagalog...surrounded by romantic evening lights...
