San Diego is filled with many of the nation's top tourist attractions, beaches, and restaurants. Listed are a couple of our favorite San Diego "hot-spots" besides Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and the Gaslamp District.
Balboa Park
Balboa Park has many different museums, performing arts, attractions, gardens, restaurants, and recreation activities for all ages. This place is a must see for first-time San Diego visitors! It has everything jam-packed in one.
Mission San Diego de Alcalá
We love this place because it is beautiful and peaceful; in fact, many weddings take place here! This was the first mission set up in San Diego by Juniperro Serra. There are 21 missions stationed all around California and San Diego was the first!
USS Midway
We both grew up on military facilities and lived overseas, so it was only right to visit the USS Midway. They have many exhibits and demonstrations of what life is like for someone on an aircraft carrier.
