Scotty & Amanda

Our Story

It all started in high school....

From the Bride:

This is going to sound dorky, but after all it was high school and I was only 15 years old. Scotty and I shared science class together. Scotty was the class clown, which is how he tried to gain my attention back then. I never gave him much thought, other than giving me a laugh in a boring class. But one day James Fry, a mutual friend, asked me what I thought of good old Scotty. I guess since I didnt give a bad response, Scotty started to send me notes in class and thats how it all began and the dorky story starts...

These notes he would send were the typical notes teens passed in class, just jiberish because we were bored, but at the bottom of each note was always a word or two that told me to put the words together with those at the bottom of the next note. The sentence I got was "will you be..." and I never got another word because on Feb. 14, 1996 he finished the sentence in person as he gave me a teddy bear..."will you be my girlfriend?" (dorky right?) I remember this day like it just happened with young, scared Scotty asking me out and me saying "yes". This is how our long 12 year relationship began. Ever since then I have been hooked on my comedian.

FINALLY on our 13th anniversary, Feb. 14th, 2009, he asked the famous question all girls long to hear from the one they love "will you marry me?" Of course I said yes. Now a new chapter in our relationship starts, so let the craziness begin.

From the Groom:

I loved to look at Amanda from day one. She was something really good to look at but just a little out of my grasp. I wasn’t lucky enough to score a smart, attractive, an well mannered girl like her. I always tried everything I could just to make her smile, and most of the time I succeeded. Basically I made myself look like an ass! (Hey she liked it). My good friend James Fry and I both had crushes on Amanda! An one day I asked if she needed a ride home an she said yes. Holy shit was I floor boarded. I just took the hottest girl for a ride home in my Mazda truck, oyea I didn’t even have my license. (Ha James, I ended up with the girl.) And that started a four year courtship all threw high school, with all the cute little notes just about every day, we ate lunch together, were together before school and after school. We were in love and inseparable. We did it all together, where there was one there was the other. And we loved it like that. I’ve put up with a lot of crap over the years, but I wouldn’t change anything. We have seen and experienced so much together, we have learned so much about life an all its surprises. It’s like a puzzle and we’ve only just started.
