There are few grand churches in the south of Metro Manila and this is one of them. This is not the reason we chose this parish to mark the beginning of the rest of our lives, though. It held several sentimental memories for us when we were first going out and so we decided to hold the ceremony here, where it all began..

Getting a wedding coordinator was non-negotiable to us because we didn't want any hassle for us and our family on the big day. Ai came highly recommended by a colleague who is accustomed to only the best, so we set a meeting with her, and booked her right away! She's easy to get along with (which is a big MUST) and has been very helpful with our planning dilemmas even if we just booked her "On-the-Day Services".
So on Dec. 7, 2009, we entrust everything to the boss-lady, Ai Acosta!

The potential of the Enrique Zobel ballroom was something to be longed for. Our initial computation of the expenses that we will incur if we booked ACC skyrocketed beyond our budget! Through several tweaks, we were able to come up with something that was "within the reach of the boundaries". LOL
Ms Julie has been kind enough to support our "kakuriputan" and has been giving pointers ever since we made our reservation. Kudos!
Chug Cadiogan
One of the suppliers that Ver handpicked. He first witnessed Chug's work at a wedding that they attended in 2008. Even before they started planning for their wedding, he was set on getting Chug, and what a pleasant surprise that when they were ready to book him, he was giving a promo for weddings at work members - yey, W@W!
Jayson Arquiza of Redefine Weddings
We encountered lots of talented photographers in our search for THE ONE, but we only met to discuss our requirements with Jayson. There were inquiries over the phone, through email, through SMS with other suppliers but Jayson built that lasting rapport with us - especially when we were at the W@W speednup session. He gives off that genuinely-nice-guy vibe and I was fond of the way he involves his wife, Joanne, and son, Zach, in the conversations and in the speednup session. We love how his art has quickly evolved throughout the months we've been cyber-stalking him! Just shows how much talent he and his team has got! He has been nominated a number of times for W@W Supplier of the Year, and this year we hope he gets it.. he definitely has our vote!
Nancy's Fashions by Nancy Dela Cruz
Another supplier I met through a previous wedding I was part of. Since my body is such a misfit, I can't afford to go to someone who I haven't tried before. The gown I wore which she designed fit me to a T. Let's hope she does the same magic on the day!
Chichi Sotomil
Chichi was the hair and make-up artist for my good friends' (Tish and Donbi) wedding. Such a pleasant coincidence that we grew up in the same village! I am entrusting my look to her completely. ;-) It will be such a challenge for her to hide my double chin!

Ver had a taste of Emily Uy's cakes at the first bridal fair that we attended. The first we inquired about her services, she turned us down because (alas!) her wedding was the day before ours. Being the mapilit and makulit person that I am, I asked her again. As Count Olaf in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events would have said - SUPREEESE! She said yes! Ain't that just the sweetest thing?

Sometimes, you only need to look within your circle of family and friends for the right supplier. Tita Norie is the mother of bridemaid Aireen Olaes-Peralta. We can't wait to see what she has come up with for the very challenging floral colors that we have requested. More power to this gentle and creative lady!
