Sha & Angeline

Wedding Photos

First of all, I would really like to thank Jon Ng, Rosalind and Joshua for helping out in our wedding photo shoot.

We did not have much time to prepare for the photo shoot and our initial location for the shoot was suppose to be in Taiping. Since traveling to Taiping will take up alots of time, we decided to have it in FRIM (Forest Research Institute of Malaysia) To be honest, it is indeed a lovely place.

When we decided to go to FRIM, I called up the office and tried to get permission for the shoot. We have heard of all those stories about unfriendly reception or you being push to one person to another and end up back with the same person. Well it looks like somethings never change. I was asked to write a letter and seek for permission take photos in FRIM. After doing everything according to instructions, I waited 2 days for the reply. Nothing happen. Then I called them and they told me that they have sent all requests. I told them that I did not receive any and requested them to check if my letter was approved. To my surprise, I was told that they could not check and asked me to fax in the letter again. I kept my cool :( and did what was told. Waited for the approve letter again. Then called them back. They pass me from one person to another and I was told that I don't need to write a letter but just pay RM88.80 at the entrance. Welcome to Malaysia!! This is how we work. :(

Anyway forgive and forget. On the day of the shoot, we had to wake up at 5:30am to prepare for the makeup etc etc. Blanche was so kind to wake up at 6am to help Angeline with the makeup. If she were to leave it to us to do the makeup, you will not see such a beautiful couple here but Bozo the Clown. hehhe

We arrived at FRIM around 8:30am. The weather was fine and everyone was excited to start the shooting. We only had one problem. Where to change? Since we are in a jungle, I guess we have to do the jungle way of changing.

Since we did not have any budget to pay for a helpers, we got our best man and bridesmaids to help us. We had to do everything ourselves.

We have to carry a step ladder, a reflector, makeup set etc and find the suitable locations. I really thank George for scouting for suitable locations. His role is to keep away the leeches, snakes, bugs away.

This is one of the shot what we have to drop leaves on top of Angeline and make it looks like is a shampoo advertisement. It turned out really nice.

We ended our shoot at around 1:30pm with a jump of joy. I hope this is the only wedding photo shoot for me since I'm going to marry once and till death do us part.
